I've sold on a lot of my TOPS knives but the Prather War Bowie was always a keeper. I think I'm gonna check out a Longhorn with the Rocky Mountain scales though, right up my street.

I have an engraved 1980 AlMar Eagle. But I don’t carry or use it, it replaced one I lost in the service. I have a cold steel Barong that I use and use and can’t seem to kill. I think I paid 17.50 I carry an old Spyderco Police as well as a Tops Felony Stop work days. Since the Al Mar doesn’t really count. I carry a Dendra Inazuma, more often than not, it just fits. That’s five. Honorable mention, single edge Szabo Express, it cut good. Carry good. Good steak knife for a goof. Most everything else stays in the box in a cabinet of the compulsive shopper. I get more mileage out of an old repurposed Trailhawk or the Estwing Cub Scout Hatchet I’ve had since I was nine and won at the Blue and Gold Banquet.

Awesome showing I love the rocky mountain tread that tops does. I have a wild pig hunter with a more aggressive rocky tread. Great blade for ending stuff, not to practical for much more but serves its purpose

My Tops longhorn Bowie is also my favorite knife I purchased in 2023 ! I wanted to buy a cpm3v trailmaster and I saw your videos on longhorn bowie and I purchased it ! Here in France the Tops was 179€ vs 389€ for the trailmaster in cpm3v … Don’t regret my choice !

This year I bought two trailmaster’s a San-Mai first, then a 3v version which was in a very much cheaper price than the Sam-Mai one. I love the fit and finish and the convex grind on the San-Mai but the 3v is definitely tougher. Unfortunately here in Australia we are often very much overcharged for some items, I managed to get my 3v version for $450.00 Australian instead of the $600, or even 700.00 normally charged, which I would never have paid, thanks to Amazon. Now I’d love to find one in o1 steel or even the original carbon to round out the collection. I’m not holding my breath 😂

Love how the longhorn was #1 Kuz I've got 2 on the way. Kept looking and found one with the regular micarta scales so I was like well I guess 2 is better than 1 lol. Probably will sell my puzon wilderness bowie to make up the cash, the handle doesn't quite fit my hand.

The Tops is real nice. I got the woodbuster early part of this year. Not for chopping but for splitting wood. I only have a few large knives that I keep stored away in case of an emergency disaster. We had a lot of wildfires here last year and they say it's supposed to be worse this year.
@peterbiltknifeguy

Where are you located?
@James-ke5sx
@James-ke5sx 10 ай бұрын
@peterbiltknifeguy Canada. It's January, no snow and green grass everywhere. Even Canadian prepper up north has no snow. We had lots of wildfires all across Canada last year, and they say it's going to be worse this year. I got into prepping years ago after listening to your ex-president Obama when he said that if things go wrong, don't expect the government to be there to help you in a disaster. I figured if that was in the USA, it must be worse here in Canada. I bought a few Buck Knives at first to add to a kit. Then as time went by I realized that they might not be the best to put into a disaster emergency kit. So I upgraded to a few k-bar Beckers because Esee was a bit expensive just to put into a kit. And then over the last 2 years I got a few Esee knives and that's it, I'm done buying, just looking from now on.

Nice collection, sir! My big purchase this past year, was Pathfinder bowie, Dave Canterbury design. Love that knife! Few weeks ago, picked up a Cold Steel SRK, CPM 3, for cheap, midway usa. Nice, thick, and slicey blade! Now, want one of those, Cold Steel bowies, too! Have a great day, Steve

Well those are both excellent choices. And the only right answer it both lol. But honestly depends on what you’re looking for in the knife. And the stock longhorn sheath is garbage. But the knife is awesome. But if I could only take 1 it would be the Longhorn
