That hike on Headwaters is always super sketch, plus putting on your skis at the end is probably the most stressful part. Props to Joe, ripping Hellroaring at 61 is no joke. Hiked and skied Highlands Bowl last season with my 19-year-old son, great memories!

The chutes at Alta are great, I need to go back since its been almost 15 years and when I first skied them I was a teen and not nearly the level of skier I am now. That drop at Snowbird looks hugely different depending on snow conditions- I remember it when I was an instructor there but I don't actually remember it being that much of a rush, maybe because it is so short? Only 3-4 seconds? Pipeline at Snowbord was the one I was nervous on and only did a couple times because it is hardly ever open and it feels really long.

Good Stuff Lucas! I enjoyed the Hell Roarer run the best. Good call on the honorable mention category - The run at Alpine Meadows. I hope I can take some runs with you this winter when you go to the PNW. Best time to be there is right after Valentines day / President's day. I'll be at Snowbird the 1st week in February. Also - you may want to tell the Stoke Squad members the good technical underwear (32 Degrees) at Costco is in and on sale. The Head gloves are a super bargain too. They also have a good value on medium quality Goggles (Spy) w/ 2 lenses. For the goggles, I always ski the yellow lenses, even in the Sunshine. In the PNW, we get very few sunny days, and a yellow lens gives good definition of snow that hides in ("Flat Light"). When the Sun is out, they take the edge off the bright reflectivity. I need to ask, as I am struggling with my camera settings trying to get as much landscape as posible while showing some ski, which model is yours? And are you shooting in super wide angle mode? Do you always use this setting, independently of the steepness of the slope?

Hey! I am using the gopro max. It’s a 360 camera and captures an extremely wide POV. I do all the adjustment in post production. You really can’t achieve this wide of a look with a standard GoPro even in superview mode

Hey if you're in Fernie, you might check out Island Lake snowcat skiing located right by town. It ain't cheap but it might just be the classiest operation in BC. And the terrain is killer.

not estimates. all from each resort's site. from altas website: "Main Baldy Chute is a screamer that hits 44 degrees", highland bowl has a map that shows max pitch and average pitch of each run. all chutes off the headwaters at big sky are between 40-45 degrees
