Totally agree my friend, I ended frying 3 sets of servos and 2 receivers lmao 🤣 ended up getting a single savox servo
@DriftomaniacsRC6 жыл бұрын
3 sets that be a triple ouch! Mind you getting through 2 receivers is even more impressive! I can feel an idea for a video coming on!
@michaelmayse74285 жыл бұрын
I figured out how to change the pinion gear w/o removing the receiver box. Remove the battery door clip on the front. After youve removed that then you loosen the motor mount hinge pin 1 full turn. Remove the gear mesh screw and the motor will turn out and pull off of the hinge pin.

I don’t own the new Erevo cus I have the Erevo killer the arrma Kraton v3, but I totally trust ur judgement Richie n everything that u liked n disliked makes sense n were great points, so if I ever pick one up I’ll know what to expect to like n dislike with the rig.

I am missing my Arrma Outcast, but can't help thinking they'll have another new release by the year end, thoughts?
@thomashernandez40274 жыл бұрын
Only problem with arma is will they be around in 3 years. Traxxas to me is better because of parts availability the arma Kraton is better but only slightly.

Tamiya used that type of suspension on its f1 cars years ago
@DriftomaniacsRC6 жыл бұрын
F1 invented it in the 1960's! As I say did anyone from F1 ever sue any of these guys? Exactly!
@philthyco16 жыл бұрын
Exactly lol..but I'm just saying in the RC car world Tamiya did it first
@paulclancy24046 жыл бұрын
Great review traxxas is the company that got big enough to go corporate , they patened the suspension in revo,you only need do something slight and pay money to lawyers to use a similar design they sued arrma, in fairness to traxxas if wasn't for Chinese duplicating everything and now 20 yrs later doing a comparable job with metals ....we would only have a trucks like outcast triple the money . I still like my slashes , mini revo,getting back into the hobby not sure they king hill anymore tho with e r.t.r bashers ,love my new outcast just ordered some hop ups bash,braapp onnnn

Ofna had the inboard suspension a decade before Traxxas even thought of it .

It first came out in F1 cars in the 60s but did they sue OFNA or Traxxas? So why did Traxxas sue arrma???
@timothycann70865 жыл бұрын
@@DriftomaniacsRC Arma was sued because traxxas had a patent on the design (smart business move). The courts upheld the suit because it is the law. Seems petty but, it's a business for them and just a hobby to us. F1 is monopolized already with no competition. whole different ball game.

you are aware of the fix for the stock traxxas servos though right? honest.
@DriftomaniacsRC6 жыл бұрын
The fix soldering over the fuse? I considered it but it seemed a little pointless doing it when they were under warranty, and if they're out of warranty it makes sense to upgrade them. Also with the 20kg ones fitted they're now metal geared and around 4 x the pulling power, the servos I use in the upgrade are under $18 each, and thus the effort of carrying out fix vs the effort/cost of fitting new ones. I went with the new ones, and I've two spare new ones traxxas sent me under warranty, which I can keep for other projects. Hope that makes sense? I always do like the kind of fix you mention but in this case I weighed up the pros and cons and came to the above conclusion. Any tips on such fixes are always appreciated, and I certainly don't mean to put you down in anyway, it was just for me the above made best sense.
@SebastianLong6 жыл бұрын
@@DriftomaniacsRC I totally agree. What's the point of fixing the servo and it's still only going to have 125 ounce inches of steering power per servo vs (I think yours are the same ones I have except with a red shell) 277 ounce inches per servo. 250 vs 554. No brainier to me.

What are your guys thoughts on the proline 3.8 badlands on the erevo 2.0? I just recently got them cuz I blew a stock tire but are the badlands that much better? leave me a comment!

Arrma is the way to go period!!
@DriftomaniacsRC6 жыл бұрын
I've got and have owned both, and they both have their own advantages, although the erevo's on the bench more than I'd like I get the spares the same day. Arrma very tough though! I'm thinking about selling my Senton and getting another arrma BUT my money is on arrma wowing us with an 8S X-maxx killer very soon. I predict within 6 months, and I got the call right on the new slash and rustler.
