Good choice on shock oil n springs bro. HD servo spring is well worth it with beefy servos, it makes almost as much difference as the servo upgrade..... Super cheap too.

Nice tutorial, while I don't have the E-revo (any version) I do have the Summit converted to brushless, it is similar enough, I'm finding 70 wt shock oil (all the way around) to work pretty good, especially for the weight involved with this vehicle (although I am speculating the combined weight of your wheels and tires and beefier axles are heavier than my setup, probably not by much though), and how I hear other owners are pulling apart the pushrods from the eyelets. I also upgraded to a single stronger steering servo setup.

sounds a nice rig, having driven Alans summit I'd say you're right and they feel about the same weight. I did consider gettiing the mini summmit vxl, and yes the pushrods are a weak point on the erevo, I am sticking with the dual steering servo setup as with these on very little troubles it.

So how do you like the shocks with the new springs and thicker oil? I bought the 2.0 last week and I noticed if you tighten the shock springs the truck tends to roll over a lot easier. So I'm curious how well its working for you.

Good video! Have you ran the Revo enough to find out if your shock setup is a little too stiff or not? I see a lot of people suggesting sliver/blue springs and variable damping kit with a little heavier oil. What ya think or let us know after running it more. Again. I've watched all of your Revo vids today!

no sorry sold it to pay for new RC's! Channel revolves/evolves all the time. That said huge traxxas fan, arrma customer service? they are clueless! Traxxas? I ordered a part online on a SUNDAY, 12 noon monday it arrived. I'm in CA they're in TX - to any doubters go ask if horizon hobby could do that level of service? All that said Traxxas WERE due to drop 3-4 new cars this year and my dealer of choice 'Norcal Hobbies' is on standby!

The those two covers protect them okay, but I know what you mean. e.g. they look exposed.

They are proving a good investment, handling improved a huge amount. They aid grip for launching backflips for sure and it'll corner much harder on them as well. Although it could be my imagination but they look to have take a little bit of wear. Probably just imagining it though

I have a Traxxas Rustler vxl 3s with rpm front bumper, Traxxas wheely bar, and PL trenchers and after dremmelling a wheel hex pin and tapping it into the slipper shaft where the kak hollow ones keep breaking it is a bullet proof basher,, haha, got it for a steal for 50 quid from the guy next door. I just don't understand folk paying what they do for a new Traxxas then spending loads upgrading something that should not need any money mods until parts break? Love your vids though Drifto 👍,, I also have a good few others and 3 micro crawlers which are fun during the dark Scottish winter 🤸‍♂️

Indeed I prefer to just replace stuff when it breaks. Both servos have gone and although traxxas sent new ones, it's clearly a weak point on the car. I'm looking at more ebay bargains myself but keep getting sniped at the last minute. How's the weather in Scotland today? I used to fly to Glasgow weekly on business some years back. Had some great times there. Saw Scotalnd stop England winning the Grand slam at Murrayfield one year, great game though so I didn't mind. Happy days. Just showing 108.7F on my outside temp guage!

U should clean ur rc's. I think it would look better for ur videos and also u should put electric tape at the tip of your pliers cuz you don't want to scratch your shocks
