My Top 5 Worst Andrew Brenner Episodes

It's finally here! I've gotten plenty of requests for this including Lenny Marroquin, who is one of my fans. Sorry that this was long overdue. I'm just slow at making a brand-new script, and I get writer's block easily. Anyways, here are my picks for the worst episodes in the Andrew Brenner era!
I will do a BEST Andrew Brenner episodes video, but I don't know when I'll get that done to be honest. I haven't written a script for it yet. But I'll try to get it done sometime this month or so. It may or may not be my next video.

A shed for Edward was a missed opportunity to bring BoCo back. I hated it whenever Edward left Tidmouth sheds, because I was hoping they could just add a couple more berths for Nia and Rebecca. (AKA annoying orange and big banana) I mean, they did it before for Emily in calling all engines.

Also Philip sleeping in wellsworth sheds would’ve made a lot more sense if he was the wellsworth shunter. Or better yet have BoCo sleep in wellsworth sheds, as he does work on Edward’s Branchline!

I knew the episode “A Shed For Edward” is gonna appear in this list. I don’t like the fact that Edward left Tidmouth Sheds to sleep with Phillip. I wouldn’t want to sleep next to someone if they constantly talked over and over again. I also remember that ending part where it foreshadowed BWBA which is bad enough. Overall, solid list.

Yes. A Shed For Edward. Edward gets to sleep in Wellsworth Sheds with Philip and it's right at the start of his branchline. Then, Nia takes his place at Tidmouth Sheds. When I watch Forever and Ever, it's announced that Henry sleeps in Vicarstown with Rosie because Henry's about to pull the Flying Kipper at the whole night. Rebecca then takes his place at Tidmouth Sheds.

@@drawingpower1, the Flying Kipper was delivered to Brendam Docks and Henry gets there and pulls it overnight. He has to deliver it to the mainland. After delivering it there, he needs to sleep in Vicarstown because it's on the eastern part of Sodor while Tidmouth is on the west and Tidmouth and Vicarstown takes miles.

Actually when Edward left Tidmouth, the ending was meant to foreshadow Rebecca's appearance. Since Rebecca was originally going to be introduced in Season 21 not Season 22. Ian McCue confirmed it. If only Mattel let them finish Season 21 before starting Big World Big Adventures.

Great video again. A Shed for Edward is easily the worst. I'm perfectly fine with Thomas the Babysitter, and I agree with your points on episodes like The Fastest Red Engine on Sodor. I would add a few episodes on here like Signals Crossed, despite me liking that one a bit as a kid.

A Shed for Edward (My Take): 1. Edward sleeps at Wellsworth Sheds like in the original episode. 2. Rosie, BoCo, Bill and Ben takes Phillip’s spot instead. 3: Edward has a real send off with flashbacks from various past episodes. That is my take on A Shed for Edward.

I do not Thomas the Babysitter either because of the only thing that makes the baby stop crying: keep rolling without stopping. Also I do not like babies either and would rather raise dogs. Also I do not like Three Steam Engines Gruff because of Toby being out of character.

To be honest, I was not expecting you to dislike "Thomas the Babysitter" as much as I do, your reasons with which I agree; dealing with babies is a complete CHORE. I respect your opinion on "The Fastest Red Engine on Sodor," because I personally think that episode is one of Season 21's highlights because of how energetic it is, particularly with Rob Rackstraw's performance as James in both English dubs. I do, however, agree with your having "Three Steam Engines Gruff" and "A Shed for Edward," and I totally understand your reasons for all five of these episodes.

The unsatisfying ending where Edward still wanted to sleep in Wellsworth sheds with Phillip was just stupid, i mean really wished that Edward was still part of the Steam Team, but sadly that's never gonna happen anymore, you know because of All Engines Go. My theory for rosies new color is that she was givin a choice by the fat controller to either stick with her normal color or try a new design and she chose to try a new design and went through different paint jobs and when she was given the rose red she stuck with it. I can easily agree with you on this list. The only things I could take from "Three Steam Engines Gruff" are when Henry screams at the leaves covering his eyes and the moment Percy bumps onto Henry at Tidmouth Sheds. Another episode I would put on my least favourite Brenner episodes list is "Flatbeds of Fear" which just feels like a Miller episode - bland, boring, tedious.

Fun Fact: A Shed for Edward originally broadcast in the UK on Channel 5’s children’s block, Milkshake, WITHOUT narration. That surprised me when I found out, but I thought that it was actually a good idea, especially because Bob the Builder, Pingu, later Seasons of Postman Pat and Fireman Sam, and even the 2005 film The Magic Roundabout, none of them used narration at all, and it made this episode rather interesting. I would like to see some where there isn’t narration, or there being two different versions classed as either with or without narration. It’s not a bad idea to try, and it could work for me too!

The Fastest Red Engine on Sodor is my favourite episode from Series 21. Mainly because of the sequence of when James becomes a runaway. It kind of reminds me of when James became a runaway in Old Iron and instead of Edward going after him, it's actually Rosie (hense why the word "red" is in the title). And I especially love the crash scene at the end. Though, I do see where you're coming from with this brake fluid problem.

Henry Spots Trouble, Flatbeds Of Fear and and Signals Crossed are 3 Brenner era episodes I didn’t like 1. Henry Spots Trouble shows Henry being a cowardly dumbass. Like he even says chicken pox was scarier than rain, dude, he was never afraid of rain to begin with, (and no, I’m not counting The Adventure Begins). 2. Signals Crossed has a similar problem, except it’s Toby, giving him a fear he never had at the beginning, like I get it, traffic jam can be stressful but that’s nothing to be scared about. 3. The Flatbeds Of Fears ruins not one, not two but THREE characters. Salty made up probably the most uninteresting story he, (and to an extent, the staff of the show), has ever made up. Henry, Thomas and Emily are all over 100 years old, yet none of them ever even questioned the story, but then again, Bill and Ben are also over 100 but still act like children. The difference is that the former three are smarter and more mature than they are, so it just feels more wrong.

Personally, I don’t think Shedward is actually that bad. If you really think about it, Edward works better as a side character. Even in the classic series, he wasn’t really that prominent most of the time compared to the rest of the major characters. I’m also not too mad at the other engines changing the subject at the end of the episode because it shows how mature they truly are. The Fastest red engine on Sodor: I thought of somebody to make an episode after Henry goes to sleep at Vicarstown, Gordon takes his frustration out on James for the cause of Edward and Henry's departure before or after Rebecca arrives to take over and James tries to talk over Gordon about his color nightmares about how he feels about how his actions affect himself and everyone around him. The afternoon tea express: I think Stephen got his funnel back in the end of King Of the Railway... 3 steam engines gruff: Percy and Toby being scardy cats together. Which is why I hate CGI Percy. Trevor was great to see back and I like how Henrietta had a better IQ and more braincells than Thomas, Percy and Toby in the cow scene. Thomas the babysitter: My parents' life when I was a baby portrayed by Thomas. A shed for Edward: Me when I'm rudley awakend by my phone ringing from unknown people calling and texting me...😠📱😴

UK based steam engines typically operated with a combination of a brake van and hand breaks. Some places experimented using chains or rods so that each car had breaks controllable from the engine. Steam engines in later times either had air breaks that were either charged with steam or compressed air - there are a few different systems around. Steam engines moved to having local breaks and a set of breaks on each car or wagon because it was much safer and quicker than having a single brake van and stopping to pin breaks before going down a hill (or in the US case running along the top of each car to set breaks). Although railways around the world didn't roll out breaks on carriages all at once - railways typically used old equipment on track that was light before upgrading the track and then either overhauling the rolling stock to have breaks or scrapping the rolling stock (because it's been old and been replaced)

I think signals crossed is as bad as a shed for edward How many times have toby gone to knapford junction, why is he afraid of it in season 18, how does every engine on sodor knows that and why is sur topham hatt stupid to scold toby before looking at the signal, Toby is really out of character in this episode, and ferdinand also cameos in this episode if you look closely. The only think I like is it is the first lead role of toby in the era and altough bad had potential to bring his character back as the funny old grandpa. Rating :2/10 stars

(James would have too, but he wasn't there) but Edward assured everyone that even though he moved out of the sheds, he was still part of the team. After all, Toby's still part of the team and he lives way far away from the sheds. Same thing for Henry. Just because they don't live in the sheds doesn't mean they're not the in main cast.

About James's brakes, it would have said that the brakes would wore down if he keeps stopping after a high rate of speed. If you put the brakes to hard, the brakes will get less efficient than before. The worn brakes will recover after minutes. And yes, only road vehicles have brake fluid.

I would have to agree with you on "Thomas and the Babysitter." The crying baby is just so annoying and gets me on my flipping nerves! Also, I know it may sound pretty messed up, but to me, seeing cartoon characters (e.g. SpongeBob, Pinkie Pie) cry is just annoying. Look, I get their emotions are either sad or depressed, but the noise of the crying characters gets me irritated!

I have 2 agree with u not liking Thomas the Babysitter what i didn't get was after they dropped of the mother and child at the station half way through the episode what were they doing there? Because they were not long picked up by Thomas when he was coming back.

Steam trains have only Steam and Air/vacuum Brakes wich don't use any Brake fluids.
