Badger brush’s will always be my favorite. My first brush I ever got was a synthetic tuxedo and after using a badger for a long time going back to that synthetic was nowhere near the satisfaction a badger gave me!!!!

A quality badger brush remains my standard for a superb lather. I've plenty of badger, boar and synthetic brushes, however, it's usually the badger which offers me the absolutely best lathers.

Nice video, Kevy! I own three synthetic brushes (two custom made), two silvertip Omega badger brushes and one Semouge boar brush, and out of all that I have, the badger brushes are complete lather monsters. I have the shorter badger brushes -- Omega 636 and Omega 641 -- and they outperform every other brush that I have in terms of lather production and retention. Don't get me wrong, I love my other brushes too and all the others produce amazing lathers with little effort, but these badgers are "otherworldly" in nature and I have been absolutely blown away with how well they generate and retain water and a smooth, silky lather almost every time.

My Heritage Collection Shaving Ever Ready three step is my favourite badger brush. The gelled knot is so soft and is a monster latherer. I also love my Semogue HD brush as well. The handle on your No 1 brush certainly looks very ergonomic with a great design as well. All the best from across the Tay! 👍👍👍💈

Thanks to you, I have a Seillean as well. It rests prominently in my den. I grab it at least once a week. Albeit small-handled, it is easy to control and finesse for lathering. ShaveMac uses the best grade of badger hair; and hand tie their own knots. It has never been a lather hog of any kind. That knot has excellent flow and water retention. I have other badgers as well. I have Omegas, Semogue, Stirling, and Parker brushes too. This was an excellent installment. Thanks for sharing, mate! Speak soon.

Good evening Kevy! My finest badger brushes come from That Darn Rob..2 handles, both with the 26 mm Fanchurian Geltip (V4 & V8). Graydog made me two handles Persian Jar shape and set Maggard Razor 26 mm 2 band badger knots and are good serviceable brushes. I have a Simpson Wee Scot badger brush (holds the most sentimental value). Finally, I have an antique Ever-Ready Rubber Set 1000 pure badger brush (I used it a few times, but the knot is too floppy to fully enjoy). My favorite badger brush has to be the That Darn Rob geltips...those are super soft and joy to use.

Hey Kevy, Great video. I do not have mini badger brushes, but the ones I do have are spectacular, or at least I think so. I have a couple of heritage shaving collection badger brushes, a Razorock to band finest which is a bit Scratchy, but I plan to gel the tips after I find out how. I also have a sterling to ban finest brush which was a gift, and I have a Rooney BB 24 near meant vintage best badger that I picked up on Etsy. That Rooney has a beautiful butter scotch handle, and it was made for Brooks Brothers stores there in The UK back in the 1930s, or 1940s. Have a great day, and stay safe.

I am surely lacking in this department for I own only five brushes total. one Badger, one Boar, one horse and two synthetics. The horse is the newest and is becoming my favorite, only because of its uniqueness. I think I'll name it Shirley...

great brushes! one thing mentioned in the video about gel tips.. they don't have a gel in the hair or on the hair. they go through a process of dipping the tips in a bleach mix for a specific time (depending on the chemical strength mix and concentration) that process creates hooks at the end of the hair (the higher the quality of the badger the better and softer the hooks become as well) The result,, really soft ends . cool video kenny. cheers mate

I have a silvertip and love it as a change from synthetics. Have your heard not to use Preshave oil with a badger brush? The claim is it hurts the brush’s use.

Hi Stuart, That was my first shaving brush 35 years ago, the Simpsons X2L! I bought a little Simpsons brush at the same time but I don't know which one it is as the markings have long worn off. My 3 favourite brushes now are my Chubby 2 super badger, my Chubby 2 synthetic and my Taylors SH3 super badger. The Simpsons Trafalgar range are very good too! I have the T2 and T3. Take care, Dave.

Wow, top 6 badger brushes - which are BY FAR my faves. Hard to pick, but I think mine is (but I have at least another 6-10 brushes that could knock off most of these six). 1) Turn n Shave LE Galaxy Inception brush with hand tied knot (#10 out of 12 made) 2) Declaration Grooming B6 knot in Turn n Shave handle 3) Shavemac two band badger in Wolf Whiskers handle 4) Paladin McInroy series Polo Select Badger 5) Declaration Grooming Darkfall resin handle with B8 hand tied knot 6) The Varlet K2 Alpine White Badger (I believe hand tied)

They’re going out of fashion because e they have to kill the animal for the fur. I would guess that because pigs have become such a problem there isn’t the same sentiment. I’d kill 50 badgers to get one beautiful brush. 🤣
