I want to THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!! I love my olive oil eco-styler gel as well and was recently disappointed because my hair is too dry and brittle with using it alone. Then when I tried using it with other products it will get white balls or flake up when it dries. Your comment on rubbing it in your hand first is pure genius. I have a new found love for Eco Styler Gel now that I am completely done with transitioning and have been natural for the past 8 months. I really love the one with Argan oil and I have been testing out different leave ins that I could pair with it so I really appreciated this video! One that you didn't mentioned was Mixed Chicks Leave In which I love! It has a great light scent it is a little less than the Paul Mitchell leave in that you use. I also used the hand test that MoKnowsHair mentioned in her tutorial with the Creme of Nature Argan Oil Pudding Perfection. There was no residue and it was clear so I'm excited to see how it turns out. Thanks again for this list/video!

I know I'm several years late, but I just wanna say thank you for the shea moisture and eco styler tip! Where has this info been all my life?! I've been natural since 2012 and I never knew this combination was so bomb! I never really cared for the shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie, but I used eco styler pretty often but I hated the super crunchy feeling. But whenever I added a leave in conditioner I would end up with white hair. But not today! My curls are shiny soft and way more defined. 🙌🏾 now I'm mad I did a second big chop out of curl frustration a year ago! Ugh. This woulda been bomb on my longer hair!

Another "leave in" that works great with ECG is aloe vera gel (or aloe vera gelly). I purchased some from my local Nature's Grocer. I'm sure you can use the type that you can ingest, but I used the kind that is for topical use (skin).

I too LOVE Eco styler gel! I have been using the SM Curl Enhancing Smoothie since my transitioning phase but Ive always used it as a moisturizer and style and never a leave in. Well needless to say i used it as a leave in yesterday and did my wash and go and OMG! This was the best Wash and Go Ive done thus far! I would have never thought to use it as a leave in until I watched this video. My hair is so bouncy, soft (after the broke the gel cast of course). So now I have revamped my wash and go routine to use this product as a leave it!!!!! Thanks!

One of the only combinations I really like with Eco Styler is the Shea Moisture Curling Soufflé. I use the Soufflé as a LI/ Moisturizer and then Eco as styler. The key with the soufflé is to use a small amount.

Sooooo Eco with black castor and flaxseed oil DOES NOT work with these products like the regular Eco. I had balls for days with the creme of nature argan oil leave in and shea moisture leave in. 😭😭😭

But any Clear basic styler of conditioners like: *Cantu Styling Custard-care4kids ❤ *Paul Mitchell Leave-In *Shea Moisture Soufflé (dime size per section "very little" Or *Olis Just NO White Cream conditioners because yes it will leave clumps😐. I'm not that much of a fan Of Eco any more ..... Xtreme Wetline❤👍🏾 I hope you can find a styler that works.

Mielle Organics Hawaiian Ginger, leave in conditioner pairs well with that one only so far. I mixed it with the pink eco gel and the formulas didn't not mix well. Moreover, I got a full two weeks of moisture with my wash an go. Its quite amazing!! 😁

So wished I had known about the test before my last wash and go. It looked so pretty in front, I just kept moisturizing and going with it. Three days in after going to work and working out, I look at back of my head, and it it full of balls. I had no idea. :( I used the Kinky Curly Knot Today. Failed the test, as well as three other leave ins I had. I'm hopeful with one I just used. At least this time I have one whole day to check it out before I go back to work.

Hey love! I noticed the formula has changed since when it first came out. Maybe that could be the reason. Sometimes I need to clarify my hair to get buildup off of it and then sometimes products work better. It could be because you have buildup. I'm not really sure why! :/

It's not a leave-in, but you can use it as a leave-in OGX Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Conditioner, with the eco styler. i use the clear one :)
