Looks like what I’d do if I had the same bike. Maybe I’d like a higher seat and a top box. I really like the look of the SW Motech DUSC-boxes so you can have one box to use as top box when in town and as a pannier while touring with a duffle on the back. Well set up!

@spokewanderer2 жыл бұрын
Hi MacT! Unfortunately not at the moment, as my bike is on a different continent! And most likely I will have it only by beginning of April arriving. To install they are basically plug and play. You need to remove the plastic part below and you have access. Tight space thought! Oh and you need to order the Rizoma adapter plates, some small plastic parts that keep them in place of the originals. Hope that helps. Safe Rides!

what’s your rear signals? can you send link? also your topbox bracket sir
@spokewanderer2 жыл бұрын
Hi MacT! The indicators are from Rizoma and it's the Vision model. Just check their website. The rack is from SW Motech the street rack. Regarding the indicators, Ducati has since last year also sequencial indicators. A bit cheaper that the Rizoma once. Worth to check with your Ducati dealer! Safe Rides!

Great channel Nicola, tons of useful information! I was wondering if you needed to modify the cables at all to use bar risers? Thank you!
@spokewanderer3 жыл бұрын
No, for 30mm it's no issues at all. For the ROX Speed Fx you have to thank the cables out of the clip (looks like a hook) that is in the center down by the handle bars. Just if you get the handlebars to close to you there will be tension in the cables when usin the ROX with 2 inches!!! 30mm no issues at all. Safe rides!!!

Thank you for the excellent review, I have just subscribed. I just purchased the V2s so now want to start adding some crash protection. Can I please ask what the name/brand of the rubber things you have on the ends of the wheel hubs? I won't be going off road but I do want to protect the bike incase I drop it, do you think Engine crash bars and the Barkbusters Hand guards will be enough or are there other spots that will hit the ground as well? Thank you so much.
@spokewanderer Жыл бұрын
Regarding the fork and swing arm protectors they are from R&G Racing. Other brands available. Crash bars might be just for cosmetics, but you never know. Barkbusters, for sure will protect the plastic handguards from braking. Maybe consider a engine case slider. But keep in mind, anything that you add will also add weight. I hope this info helps, even my reply is very delayed! Sorry for that!

for the rox risers, did you have to adjust or unclip any cables? are the length enough?

Hi Garry! I got the 2 inch rox pivoting risers. And No, i did not have to change any cables. Just loosen some of the clamps and there is a clip where the cables have to get out too.

I ditched the bike on the left and right sides at the BMW Motorrad off road level 1 training. The Hepco&Becker handle protectors saved the plastics, but now I have to scrap them. They deformed a lot and I cannot lock the handle bar due to the long connection to the centre plate of the handle bar. The PVD cover cracked at the welded joints and the steel began to rust immediately. I have some mixed feelings: I was not expecting them to be "single use", so the 150€ price tag was not worth it, I guess. I will definitely try the barkbusters. Less stylish to my taste. But they have their own connection to the outside of the handle bar. I kind of dislike the Ducati original system with the bronze(?) sleeve. Every time I ditch the bike, it slides out, deforms, I break/bend the screw and eventually whatever metal protector is installed will follow and deform, touching the plastics (I also tried the short protectors you mention by Ducabike, you can find them everywhere in the internet). If you lean the bike on the right side, does the rear brake lever touch the ground? I already bent mine, even with the crash bars installed (I have the Heed). I kind of like the new "bent" config, it is more comfortable than the original unusable position of the pedal. I have the impression that there is no real market for off road focused accessories and the available aftermarket parts are way overpriced and not super functional (e.g. CNC racing parts). I feel like they are more for the style than the practical use. Just my opinion, of course. Cheers.
@spokewanderer3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing! Well, if the bike falls there is always the possibility that something breaks. Too many factors are playing a role there! There is no perfect protection. All may have flaw's. If you have the 950s the hand guards from Evotech might fit. They lol also awesome. Safe Rides!!!!

I have manly the Touratech windshield on that protects you very well. I also have the Puig Sport windscreen and it works well too! Certainly you have more wind noise with the Puig as it is short, but no issues with buffering. Oh and I use screen spacers from Iconic Parts and trying the Palmer Products screen adapter at the moment. Soon a video about the Palmer and Puig will follow. About the Touratech you will find a video on my channel! Safe rides!!!!
@zomoto13903 жыл бұрын
Hi, awesome review! Is the touratech crash bar really a bit off center? I dropped my bike the other day and scratched up the bars on the left side. Upon further inspection, the left bars seem to be a bit closer to the fairing compared to the right. Now I'm not sure if it has always been like that or the drop pushed the bar inward a bit.
@spokewanderer3 жыл бұрын
Hi Enzo! Thank you! Actually the crash bar should be centered. When I dropped the bike, my barbusters took the beating. Check on the mounting in front of the radiator if there something is bent. Safe Rides!!!!

@joshjefferson23602 жыл бұрын
Im also wondering the same. I bought a set of the same rox risers and they didn't seem to work without extending the cables and wires. Was there something I missed? Or did you extend your's Nicola? I have plenty of experience in this area of labor, but always find new designs on new bikes. It seems each bike has its own set of secrets when it comes to these little mods.
@spokewanderer Жыл бұрын
No I didn't extend my cables! There is somewhere down in the center a cable tie, just loosen it and it works, this is on the standard 950! Not sure about the new V2S. Best you check with your trusted mechanic!
