The Fitbit versa 2 doesn’t alarm with the apps I’ve shown, but it vibrates to alert you. Although I do think they make more expensive versions of the Fitbit versa 2 now that do have speakers and can even do phone calls! So that version might possibly have an alarm sound, but even if it did the apps might not support using the sound.

Hi, thank you for the really informative video. I was about the get a versa but I found this other channel where it was tested for accuracy (the Quantified Scientist) and came into second thoughts. The HR accuracy of the versa is not that good and reliable. So, take the results of it with a grain of salt. It could be enough for tracking trends but can give you some false alerts. The new and affordable charge 6 is quite accurate. But it does not support third party apps which is a major disappointment. And as far as I know there is no built in setting for alerting certain heart rate levels. Otherwise it would be a really great option for pacing purposes. I am still searching for the best alternative for pacing purpose. Three main things are important in my opinion. HR accuracy, ability to set a threshold for alert and affordability. Maybe, battery life is also a considerable factor. I think I will start with the charge 6 and try to learn to listen to my body with help of reading the actual data manually. Hopefully, in the future there will be a accurate, affordable option with a function to measure pacing.

I actually went through 3 heart rate monitoring watched before I settled on the Fitbit. I personally decided I’d rather be alerted more often with less accuracy, than wait and continue going downhill in my health as I had been. Yes you can! Thanks for the great question, Linda! 😊 No, you don’t have to have your phone with you for these watch apps to work. With these apps I’ve mentioned, the watch works great to notify you of PEM at the heartrate you set it to alert you at. It does not need to be near your phone to work. BUT- Every night and every morning I would open and upload the information to your phone’s Fitbit app so that it can give you extra information on things like your sleep levels, HRV, and RHR (as quickly mentioned in the video). All you have to do to upload this is to open the phone Fitbit app and swipe up and it will automatically refresh and upload the info. Pretty easy. But you do need to do it daily as the watch can only hold one days worth of info. I hope this helps! 💜 Keep on surviving, my friend! 💪🏿💜

When they come out with their pay app they will give the polar arm band to use for it. Do you know about this? If cfs plus long covid use it there will be far more info on pem then we have now and better self-help I'd hope. I have been one way for decades and wasn't until I treated for sleep apnea for the last 6 months have I improved. So I figured I should give this heart rate serious application. Thank you v much for another great video. I’ve come across a problem with the second app you recommend: Alertme - it only seems to work if that app is open on your watch screen. In other words, if your watch is showing the clock or any other app, alert me is switched off. Have I understood that correctly? I’m looking for an app that will monitor my heart throughout the day. Do you know if there’s an app that does that? Thank you very much.
@SOTFarchive
@SOTFarchive 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Daren! So both the Fitbit apps ( AlertMe and HRpacing ) require the app to be turned on (open) in order to work. They will still work even if the watch times out and the screen goes dark. If the watch screen going dark turns the app off, then you need to contact the Fitbit app developers as that is a glitch. Since the apps do have to be left open to work, that is why I preferred the HR pacing app, as it had a clock and the date on it so I could still use my watch as a watch. I mention this in the video. Perhaps I am confused and you want something to keep a record of your heart rate? If you are looking for something to keep a record of your heart rate for the entire day, etc, then the Fitbit phone app that comes with the watch does that already. The heart rate tracker should be the first icon you see on the basic Fitbit phone app. I hope this helps. 😊 Keep on surviving 💪🏿
