Jenny, I've watched your videos for a few years now and even though I am in a different zone than yours, I have learned so much. This video especially interested me as I need low maintenance/no fuss annuals. I have no idea how you have time to do 5-6 videos every week with how busy you must be with your business, but your fans appreciate all that you do and I just wanted to thank you for your informative and fun videos!

Thank you, for all of the annual suggestions. I’ll be looking into growing begonias and trailing coleus, two plants that I’ve never grown before. Also, gleaned the new use for Portulacas as sort of ground cover to help keep the weeds under control. Temps in the 70’s here and expecting some 80 days.

Can't wait for annuals season! I can attest to the vigor of those lantanas. I have a large expanse in my front sunny border, and every year I plant 3 to 5 tiny little lantanas there. They look pretty wimpy at first, but as the summer wears on, they expand to the size of shrubs, completely filling in the area, not only in width but in height. When I pull them at the end of fall, the root system is similar to a shrub -- large, deep and woody. So don't let the tiny spring size fool you!

I've become pollinator obsessed because of our Mystic Spires Blue Salvia. In early December of last year, the Monarch butterflies found our eight Mystics. Truly an amazing sight. Now we want some Lantana. All of the nurseries and home improvement stores carry them here in Central Texas. This doesn't surprise me because Lantana loves the Texas heat, but it does surprise me because people are saying the non-sterile Lantana, which comprises most of the available Lantana for sale here, are invasive. The Bandana series of Lantana would be the right size for our front bed, but they aren't sterile. This is very frustrating.

I could watch this style of video all day, every day, on repeat for a year! LOL I’m in Texas (9a/9b) and the Lantana is a work horse for us. I loved that we can get it in many different colors now. Before (15+ years ago) it was yellow and that was it. But we used it because it can take our heat & humidity. Now we get that same stellar performance in a rainbow of options. Thank you PW!

I have used the Sunpstients in my pots on my east side of house patio. I use the fushia and the orange together for a stunning combination and a chartreuse potato vine. I am going to try some of the plant suggestions for my west side landscaping that has rock which virtually bakes everything except serums. No natter how much I water, everything seems to dry up and die by August. I live in SE Minnesota zone 4

!!! Thank You Jenny !!! I wrote down the whole list. Now I am ready to buy bunches of beautiful flowers! I noticed, when you covered begonias, you didn't mention the peach-colored double bloomed ones. I tried them last year for the first time, and they are gorgeous. I had it in a shade garden. Nonstop mocca bright orange is the name, but they were nowhere near as orange as the Sunpatiens I had the year before that.

So I’ve decided the two annuals that so AMAZING for me are Impatients, and begonias, and this year that’s what I’m sticking with! I have tried and tried over the years with petunias but they are not as prolific as Impatients they just need to come out with more colours! And I also think they are not proven winners!

Thanks for this inspiration! I'm glad to know more plants Japanese Beetles do not like, and after the aphids severely invaded my Supertunias, in pots and landscape, I'm leary of that garden "staple". I'm still not sure if I need to worry about them over wintering in the ground. Rockin salvias and Euphorbias are the easiest and my favorites but anxious to try some of these other easy care plants.

This was a great video and you’ve convinced me to try different annuals besides my go-to of Supertunias! I just sure hope I can find some of these beauties in my area! I’m amazed, though that you say you water them so rarely… is that because you guys get regular rain during the summer?? Or would this be expected even during months of no rain?
