Some of my favorite obscure games would be Bumper Bash, Dark Cavern, Jawbreaker, Solar Fox, Tunnel Runner and Turmoil.

Wow yeah, Fast Food. I was trying to think of games I actually played for the entertainment value, before watching this video. Not _at all_ surprised to see it on the list. Funny thing is there were times I would play it on a b&w TV and you couldn't tell the difference between the two pickles, so the only option was to avoid both. Another _truly_ hidden gem I'd put on my hypothetical list would be Squeeze Box.

Kung Fu Master is great, but its intense gameplay necessitates the Genesis controller. I'm afraid of hurting my joystick lol

I wanted Stargate, but didn't buy it in 1984. I liked Popeye at the arcade, but so many ports looked bad on the Atari compared to other systems that I had to pass. The last new carts I bought for Atari were 1983. I think Jungle Hunt may have been my last new one (I loved it in the arcade). The controls felt really bad after the vines, it didn't come with a 1983 catalog and the manual was B&W. I felt they had stopped trying. I think I bought a couple carts for the VIC-20 after that. Since I didn't want any more Atari, I don't count games that came out after 1984. Plus I learned with chip prices falling, they could easily release a 16K ROM game, which they didn't before 1983 (games in 1977 were 2K). Sadly, I learned Atari could have been better in 1977 when released, but they got a deal on a cheaper, less versatile 6507 chip for the processor than the common 6502.

What are the other functions on the other joystick for Stargate? Also, have you reviewed Turmoil and Mountain King? These are pretty fun games that I would consider hidden gems. How about a top 10 or top five best arcade conversions? I think Wizard of Wor should end up on that list.

I don't get the interest in Mountain King. I couldn't play it without finding the manual online. Then once I learned how to get the treasure, I couldn't get to the top to win in time.

They should have released a controller with another button or two when Space Invaders came out in 1980, so they'd have it ready for Defender in 1982 and the massive number of cartridges released 1982-3 could take advantage of it. I suspect that for either you need a button for hyperspace and smart bomb for Stargate, which is what the second controller is for. I think there was a game that used the joystick in one port and a paddle or two in another one, so having a second controller to nudge on occasion isn't unprecedented.

Well I can say the same with the few that this video has listed. Stargate, Popeye, Kung-Fu Master, and Road Runner. Solaris was near the end of Atari 2600 life. Not many know about this game or even how to play it. If you ask name a pinball game for Atari 2600. Most will say Video Pinball. Either people won't remember Midnight Magic or never heard of it or played it.

In the atari 2600 there's a lot of hidden games that literally nobody talks about I would tell you which ones they are but the problem is that i don't remember their names I discovered them playing them in an emulator, playing random games

My favorite Atari hidden gem is Tunnel Runner, it's first person key-hunting hectic gameplay probably inspired the likes of Wolfinsetin 3D and Doom, exept you don't shoot the monsters, you run from them.
