Yay!!! That’s so great to hear! I really am on a mission to bring hope to those that feel their situation is hopeless. You need to to BELIEVE that there is hope and a possibility of improvement, for it to happen. I really am trying to be the example I needed when I was having a tough time, and I hope I can be an example of hope for you too.❤️

your channel is so helpful! I just was diagnosed with IBS and gastritis. 2 days of not drinking with my meals and drinking lemon water has helped so far!
@gritandgroceries7 күн бұрын
That’s great! I’m so glad! Gastritis sucks. Sometimes I find that avoiding really fibrous foods for a few days really helps. Sometimes I’ll even just eat meat for some meals when I have a gastritis flare up. You’ll have to figure out what works for your flare ups but it seems like you are well on your way. Good luck!

Hi Brittany- this is not related but could not find an email for you. I have been buying dehydrated vegetables (kale, spinach, squash, green beans ,celery, carrots) and have been using my mini processor to make my own veg powder which I can throw into anything from vegetable broth to soups and spaghetti sauce. It is working very well for me as I can tolerate those veggies. Do you know how much nutrition is in dehydrated vegetables?
@gritandgroceries3 жыл бұрын
Hi VelvetMoon. Wow! I’m impressed by your ingenuity! Veggies are typically dehydrated at low temperatures to ensure that there is minimal denaturing of enzymes. If it seems to be working for you, then keep doing it. My goal is to help you guys to find what works for you. My gut feeling is that there is probably something lost when food is dehydrated, so you might want to try and add a little bit of raw fruit, like strawberry or pineapple, a couple times a week just cover all of your bases. You can also juice them to make them easier to digest - juicing removes the fiber that can be difficult on the stomach, if that’s something you’re worried about. Check out my green juice video - you don’t even need a juicer! I would just recommend sticking to 8oz a couple times per week to start.😉👌🏻

Hi I just wanted to thank you so much for all of your help/information. I am thinking about starting the low Fodmap diet because my symptoms have been so bad lately. I have a quick question regarding coffee or caffeine. I have IBS-C and I noticed that caffeine specifically coffee actually helps keep me regular. If I go without the coffee I become really backed up. Would you recommend eliminating coffee when starting the low Fodmap diet, or continue to drink it because it helps? Thanks once again!
@gritandgroceries Жыл бұрын
Hi Amanda! You should totally do it! There’s research out there that indicates that changing your microbiome by changing your diet will help to regulate your BMs. I know it’s tough to give up coffee, but it sounds like you really need to. If your body is depending on coffee to regulate it, then it has no incentive to regulate itself. You know what I mean…? I would also caution you against adding too much fiber to get things moving. Increasing your fiber intake too quickly will actually make you more constipated. If it’s too many changes all at once to keep up with, I totally get that. You could do low FODMAP first to change the microbiome and then tackle the coffee. But I do think a reset of sorts will help your body to what it’s supposed to do and how it’s supposed to function. Best of luck and thanks for watching!!

Hi. Watched the video. Found it very informative and thinking of following them. You said the a time gap between meals should be 4-5 hrs and we should even avoid snacking in between. So I was wondering, if its ok to drink some fodmap friendly beverage in between or that might cause problem as well ?
@gritandgroceries3 жыл бұрын
I typically stick to lemon water or herbal tea between meals, but a green juice or bone broth should be okay too in moderation since they are very easy to digest. I know if you’re used to snacking going without for 5 hours can be tough, but something more substantial like bone broth can help get you to the 5 hours mark. The best thing though, it to just keep busy and recognize that you’re not starving, your fine, especially if you’re a person that snacks out of boredom, I know a lot of people do. I do hope my trips help you.❤️

I had that really really bad, to a point that I couldn't swallow food without my throat hurting. I had an endoscopy and was diagnosed with Barretts esophagus. Keep an eye on your reflux as it can cause cell damage to your esophagus and stomach opening. Talk with your doctor about taking antacids and try give up tomatoes, fizzy drinks, tomato based products, alcohol, oil, deep fried foods for awhile until it starts to feel better. Hope it gets better for you
