Last sunday, i hang out with my best friend and his wife. In spite of his wife had to look after his baby she came with us. My best friend had drunk a lot so he couldn't drive. Actually I have some questions about get/got/got and get/got/gotten (in US I THINK) I don't remember that I've noticed it before (gotten, is somehow strange to hear) , second question is about subtle usage of English, things that we don't pay to much attention to when speaking or practicing our English : like using Gerund (ing even after "to") and something we use "ing" even when it is not a gerund , it might seem easy , but actually it is not at all, when speaking we mostly make mistakes without noticing that , so please make a video about subtlety in English , things that the majority of learners don't pay attention to . Fati Reg To "look after" means to take care of someone or something. For example, you can say " I need to LOOK AFTER my younger brother", or you can say" I am looking after my friend's books". To pick up means to "collect someone or something" forexample, you can say " I have a car, I can PICK you UP". Or you can say "PICK UP the phone please" or you can say" can you PICK UP the rubbish please?"
