Hey JR, when you sell this car, make sure it goes to somebody who really wants to use this long term. Not to somebody who will abuse it because it’s a salvage car. This car deserves a good home especially since the last owner used it as their garbage vehicle and didn’t take good care of it before it was wrecked. As a viewer who’s followed every single video of the series, I would love to see this car get a nice home! This was a fun project to watch and this car really deserves a second chance!

Love my 2012 optima 145k still going strong and no issues just regular maintenance we’ve been buying KIAs sense 2000 the first Kia was the Sepheia and we’ve had four optimas not one have given us any type of problems KIA’s are great vehicles.

In Australia, our car inspections are a lot more detailed. They check all the mechanical items on the car, check for rust, oil leaks etc. It's a lot more complex to relicense a car.

As I wrote in his last video, the inspection is a little tricky as you get that sticker with "salvage" which reduces the value of the car as well as they are a little picky - in this case, about paperwork. Too bad he had to go there twice to get it passed but at least it passed. Congratulations on all that effort!

Wow such a huge difference i love seeing videos of Kia and Hyundai being fixed up and ready to get back on road. Its pretty sad that cars didn't make it and seen so many of them with such a lowest miles less than 20,000 or even 10,000 such a waste. I'm a big fan of Hyundai but hoping to get one someday but new or used as long as it works. Keep up a good work and hope you'll be able to fix a Hyundai Elantra or some other models 😁

The paint can take up to 24 hours to cure and you’re supposed to sand in between each layer of primer and paint (2-3 of each) and then two layers of clear coat. It takes days...

A lot of people say that kia's don't hold their resale value, but that's not true anymore, because in the last 10 year's the quality is up, and they have one of the best transferable warranties. South main auto bought his wife one, and recommends buying toyota, honda, or kia, he knows cars. In the East where I live kia's hold their value. The salvage title car's don't do so good, because no one wants to finance or insure them, because the structural integrity of the vehicle changes. Where I live it is illegal to weld the cab of a backhoe, because it could cause the cab to fail if it were to roll. I would sell to someone without kid's, because of the liability. I would also be very up front about it, and have a dealer's license and insurance. Every person who touched that car is liable, not trying to be down on it, because it looks good, just don't want to see you have trouble later on.

In NYC this takes MONTHS just to get an appointment and you have to have the car towed in because it cant legally be driven. They inspect everything looking for stolen parts.

I dealt with a salvage one time, never again! No accident damage,only vandalism, hood, trunk, moon roof glass windshield, back window, headlight and tail light housings. No structural damage, had a body shop repair it all. No interest at all when advertised for sale. Took a HUGE loss on it!

Find a old strong quarter window to mix your bondo on. You can clean it off easily with a paint scraper or a razor blade when it's fresh and reuse it forever. I actually got the rear quarter window out of a 41 Chrysler a buddy was scrapping back in ancient times. Nice job on the Kia and somebody should get a nice commuter cheap and you still make a small profit. Makes me want to find a newer fixer Kia considering how cheap and easy most things are to deal with.

To everyone, the top of the door is bent, it’s not off, this happens over anything 🙄 if you lock your keys in your car and someone gets it out for you, trust me, if looks similar because they have to bend the door frame back to stick something inside to pop the lock 🙄

Wow in the UK it basically goes under a stricter MOT. Had to have mine re-done once on a MK1 clio because the boot was bashed in and couldn't be open. replaced the boot lid and full retest. Surely that area of paint is going to peel the topcoat over time. Thought you were meant to clear coat the whole panel after scuffing it back?

believe it or not, you want to apply clear while the base coat is still tacky... they adhere better to one another and it makes for a longer lasting repair. That's one reason you shouldn't only apply clear over old paint.

I live in st.joe Missouri right across the river from Kansas so I've known quite a few people that lived in Kansas and my mom had this friend that failed an inspection here in Missouri for several parts like tie rod ends and ball joints and she gets it passed in Kansas(she legally resided in both states) Omg, these hillbilly( I live in Missouri it's a hillbilly state too) states need the get their priorities straight. The horseless carriages these day are pushing 160mph. People are dying out there. Smh
