@@reeceholmes8546 ah Nice! It’s the perfect touring bike 😀

A very nice bike by its looks. I also like the simplicity of the kit. I'd never thought of a low front rack like that, but it does look like a good idea. A bike to be proud of for sure.

Thanks Norman. It hadn’t occurred to me until I was looking at solutions to the high bag at the front… love it - works really well. Thanks again for your lovely comments on our videos we really appreciate it 👍

I'm now inspired to get my Longstaff frame and fork up to Griff's in Speedwell to get it powder coated. Lovely bike Paul.

Love the bike. I love the practicality of touring bikes. I know someone that used to be friends with George. George made a tandem touring trike for him. Wide enough at the rear to carry a one and two year old side by side. Followed by solo trikes with children on the back. Cycle camped with both children still in nappies. 😯

Thanks for watching and commenting! Oh wow sounds great! His trikes always looked a thing of beauty.

I've owned 3 GL bikes over the years and my wife still rides one - a beautiful light road bike. Knew him quite well: great bloke and arguably the best frame builder around. Use the serial number under the BB to age & trace the frame.

Hi, great to know. We did check the BB but couldn’t see it but will look again 👍 Thanks for watching and commenting

Lovely bike, george long staff built some amazing bikes as did Chas Roberts and Bob Jackson. Shame only a few of the historical builders exist now Mercian, Dave Yates, etc. Have you thought about using frame saver spray to protect the internals of the frame from corrosion?
@veloworks9266 Жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for watching and appreciate the comments. I have thought about it but the inside of the frame doesn’t seem to suffer as i inspect it when I service it so feel it’s overkill for this frame but get why people would use it.

Hi Paul, love the bike, what size is it as it looks a bit on the small side as the top tube also looks very short, so can I ask what size the bike is and what height are you and does the frame size cover a lot of height variations. Great video thanks
@veloworks92669 ай бұрын
Hi Jim, it’s very difficult to know the size as it’s custom geometry - it would suit anyone 5ft8 - 6ft. It’s actually quite a big bike. My wife is 5.7 and with a shorter stem it might be just right. The step over is also v large. Thanks for watching 👍
