Used to live in a house that had... something. Was caring with me, but to my mom it didn't like her or anyone else. Kids were welcome but kids often stared up at a corner and cried. This thing was constantly trapping us kids. Me in the basement bedroom, managed to hold the knob of an unlockable door to lock me in for about 2 hours. When I had gotten an injury on my arm, I slept on the couch and one day I woke up to see this... grey mass moving back and forth in the hallway. I, being the little sneak I was, waited for it to go to the end of the hall, got up and went the other way around, watched it vanish back to where I would see it on the couch, and I rushed around the full way to jump into my moms bed (literally like a house roundabout) and before I could open my eyes and hide under the overs, this being was standing over me, and I was looking up at it for idk how long. Next thing I know, I was blacking out and then I woke up in the LATE afternoon. My mom and I talk about our different experiences in that house. That house was in family for a very very long time until my aunt demanding they move out and sell it, to which this thing, made the choice of slamming a broom over the open door, and then slam the door shut to try and trap them from leaving, as she was holding my baby cousin, this happened as literally they were leaving for the last time. I like looking at the house in googlemaps, wondering if the family there is okay with... whoever that was.

DQOTD: I'm not personally haunted, but I have seen ghosts at my grandma's house! First time was during new years, it was this figure of a man sitting on the stairs to the porch, just watching us. The next two times were of my grandma's cat who had passed about a week or so prior to the events. Saw him walk across the back patio and him about to jump into my bed. He was a good kitty. I believe he even brushed up against me one night, like he just wanted to thank us for taking him in and loving him :')

Doug, yes. many many times. the tv in two different rooms (different times not both at the same time) have come on at around 3-3:10 in the morning, although one was because of battery acid, and sometimes I've seen shadows in the corner of my eye (although many people experience that) but once the blinds just started swaying back and forth. i was alone and i thought i saw something about my height run away into the kitchen and another time something jumped onto the chair next to me (like a cat). and crazy thing, all of these happened around 10 pm🙃🙃

Doug’s Question: Im not sure if it's a ghost, but some stuff dissappear from time to time(have chance of reappearing or being lost forever), some things can make sounds like someone touching them. My mom had more interesting experience: sound being turned on at max volume in the middle of the night, supernatural parental advice and etc. One night phone started to type numbers and mom interfered with typing and, possibly, calling someone. That entity also "freaked out" when we -wanted- we're psychologically forced to move out of an apartment to another one and in that time paranormal activities we're more common.

So, Doug's question is actually a bit close to home for me at least in terms of what my mother mentioned whenever she would have been inside of the former VFW by the house, she claimed that the place was haunted and even claimed to have seen some of the ghosts that do haunt the place even going as far as to single out specific ghosts that always did specific things such as one standing at the top of the stairs and another standing by the fireplace, even mentioning how the air in the bathroom got colder just out of nowhere, I know she had names for these ghosts too I just forget what they were. But I've been in there a few times before even hearing about this and not once did I ever feel like there was a ghost around me, much less felt any change in the temperature around me.

DQOTD: Yes. It was during the pandemic. My family had just adopted a new dog, and she slept in my room. One morning I woke up and saw her sitting in front of me. I reached out to pet her, but my hand never made contact. She didn’t even meet my hand. Turns out, the dog we’d just adopted was still asleep behind me. I was looking through some old photos with my parents when I saw a dog that looked nearly identical to Bella (the dog we just adopted). Her name was Ally, and she was the only other female dog we’d owned. My room is in the basement, and one of the last things she ever did was bite my little sister while they were in the basement. She was euthanized shortly afterwards. I was around 4 years old when Ally was euthanized.

Doug's Question : Yeah, used to scare the crap out of me. When I was in middle school we put our dog's kibble out in a clean garbage can in the mud room. Mice would get in the mud room, and eat the kibble. And the lid was plastic and warped so it didnt sit flush, so we had to put a really heavy metal toolbox to keep the mice out. Well, whenever I did it the toolbox always fell over in the middle of the night. It would wake my family up, or startle me. One would say gravity, but it def had it out for ME. I say ghost. Because on the nights Id be left completely alone in the house, it happened even MORE.
