Toyota's 2gr-FE is a solid engine choice. Already made for a FF car and cause the MR2 is Mid-engine RWD it should be perfect (well at least in theory hahaha)

A v6 swap would be difficult especially if you aren’t a mechanic, swapping a Beams 3sge (red top) would be much easier to do. You’ll be making more power (than a stock 3sge) with the same Toyota reliability (it’s also a less complex process with Vic Roads) and it’ll probably be a much cheaper process than a v6 swap. That’s more money for other mods you can do to increase power

hmmm V6 gives a completely new experience different sound and alot more torque at they low end, Beams 3sge just gives a bit more power but thats about it. Experience is exactly the same. Atleast thats what i think :)

I’m doing a gen 3 3sgte swap first time . If I can do it you can do your v6 swap as well tons of sites to make it easy , wiring conversions all all .
