All you need is faith the size of a mustard seed. There is a story in the Bible where a man says to Jesus " I believe help my unbelief." Trust me you ask Him that & He will do it. 😀

I believe trans is the same as my body dysmorphia with weight. I lost a lot of weight but can’t see it at all. I look in the mirror and at pics..I see nothing. I talked with my therapist about it and said the monster is so full on. I was just ignored. They’ll never understand

I completely understand. I too have this issue. I realize what I see in the mirror is not necessarily the truth. It has been getting better as I get older and heal from trauma. But I use to see a fat person even when I was a size 4. It is a dysmorphia

David, I am sorry that you suffered abuse growing up. When I see you. I see a man. Your voice is also manly. It's good that you have faith in God. Instead of trying to change your body, which could be harmful, perhaps it would be easier to try to get your mind to accept your body as it is. It doesn't matter if you have feminine tendencies, you are still a man. Perhaps the abuse you suffered caused your disphoria. I would suggest that if you address the trauma with a therapist who specializes in that, it could help. Good luck to you.

There‘s a podcast series called „Lives of the unconscious“. Take a look/listen,that could help you a little more about your identity instability and where it can have the roots. (Early childhood experiences). It helped me very much. Just to understand where my issues could have started. It‘s a german series but some are translated to English. I definitely think „trans“ is a mental illness. I felt very wrong in my body too but always knew a change to the other sex is just an illusion, it won‘t change much how you feel about yourself and you probably will have huge physical health issues on top of your long suffering. Wish you health and sanity& hope you won‘t take the way to a surgeon instead of healthier ways to feel ok with yourself just the way you are!

Personally it doesn't bother me at all honestly but what I don't know how someone who disagrees with me will take it and this comment they could could turn inward with it and view themselves as "ugly ducklings." I may never pass but I care more about how others will feel with statements like this so plz stop for their benefit.

David I just watched and listened to your story. It took a lot of courage on your part to share your experience of “eyes being opened “ and your repentance process with the world. You are a man of incredible FAITH IN GOD and his plan for his children. I am a member of the Church of JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS aka the “Mormons”.
