Thank you 🤗They were such fun dolls. I remember playing with a friend in NZ. I was amazed she had one, as most children their didn't and hadn't even heard of them. She had the 'V' leg type if I remember rightly.

Very interesting. I always wondered about the long hair bits on these dolls, now I know they have a hair grow mechanism. Thanks for sharing.

The dolls are lovely! I never had a Tressy but I always keep an eye out for one. I did have a Tammy and a Pepper so have found dolls like the ones I grew up with.😍

I'm sure for a child in the late 60s having a doll who's hair grew must have felt like magic. I'm sure I vaguely remember a doll who had hair which grew but not sure if it was a Tressy or not. She is a very sweet looking doll though.

Thank you so much for this great video, I just thrifted a doll and I wasn't sure who exactly she is, and this confirmed that it's Tressy! Thank you so much for showing how her hair mechanism works, I don't have her key but I can maybe figure out a substitute. :)
@serenata17367 ай бұрын
You are so welcome! I am so pleased that this video found its way to your viewing and that it helped you. A little screwdriver works fine as well for the hair mechanism. One day if I ever get another, I will show how the mechanism will be fixed... as I used to fix loads of Tressy dolls, but it is not an active collection anymore and I just have these few dolls now. :) Thank you for commenting on my video, much appreciated.

I have never heard of Tressy Dolls. Oh the hair grows! Is that why it’s called Tressy? Aw I’m sorry they went missing but I love this one and the outfit your mom made! It’s beautiful!
@serenata17363 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much. They were very popular here in the UK and I guess the USA in the late sixties early seventies. I'm so pleased I still have the outfits my Mum made, they are so special.

along with vintage Barbie i started loving Tressy too but one thing dissapoints me about her is that her hair is not as full as presents in the commercial
@serenata17362 жыл бұрын
Ah yes, they never look quite like the commercials do they! I wonder if when they were new there hair was thicker...I did get one from new, but I as it was so long ago, I can't remember!
