Congrats on the suitcase haul! $75 for all that, Twiggy especially, is such a steal!! Christie's price too!! Low key jelly xD Your paranoia for cleaning them is valid. I haven't found any time to wash any of mine. A lot of people seem to love the Steffie mold (PJ) and I can see why! Those pursed lips are everything. I have barely any Barbies before the 80's due to usually trading them for newer era stuff, but at some point I'm gonna try to get more too! The pink gym bag is Gymnast Barbie from the 90's! Easiest way to tell if it's 80's/early 90's is if the bottom left of the B has a little curly-q on the end. The blue brush is definitely 90's/2000's Mattel.

That brunette twist’N turn Barbie was my childhood doll. She was given to me in 1967 but I was too young, only 5 years old. After my birthday party I took her to bed with me for my nap and over clicked her legs till one broke. I was so sad and tried to hide it from my Mum. When she discovered it, she returned it to the store and bought me an ugly Barbie clone replacement. I was heart broken and missed her all my life. I have a replica of her with red hair but would love to find an original like yours. How cool!!

OMG! You got Live Action Christie! OMG, such a grail for me! Congrats on such a bargain...she's so beautiful... I couldn't find Christie for so long - I ended up with 4 Julias before finding Christie and I had to get my Brad from Japan... I'm ridiculously pleased to see you getting Mod Barbies...they're my childhood and my absolute favourites. Oh and that bigger shoe might be for Tammy...it looks like a Sindy that I have from the 60s. PS You can tell the difference between Casey and Twiggy because Twiggy has very thick black eyeliner under her eyes. Also, all my Caseys have different lengths of hair, so I think they were all done differently in the manufacturing process, so yours might not be cut.

When it comes to the clothing I think there is a thing called a color catcher. You put it in the wash and it helps prevent color bleed. I think that red dress on the Barbie is an original as well. These were a great find. That Christie is so pretty! If you were worried about rerooting your barbie you could always pay someone to do it for you or look for one of the wigs from the vintage Fashion Queen barbie. Remove the hair plugs from your girl and then just pop on a wig. I adore my Fashion Queen and I have a few wigs and its such a cute idea.

I haven’t gotten into pre-80s Barbies, but if I saw them in person in good shape, I think I might get sucked in. This almost makes me want to go thrifting, even though the shops in my area of Canada usually aren’t good (or they get picked over quickly), and it is a climate for mold and bedbugs. At least Barbies can be washed.

In reference to 6:44 foldable doll house, one of my earliest memories in my life was when my Mom and I were living in Japan in Naganoken, we would go to my Mom's beasties house and I always got to play with her daughters (who were several years older) and they would always get out the Licca and Jenny dolls and the boyfriend dolls along with the COOLEST foldable laminated modern doll house and it had doors with hinges to each room💔💖❣️ this was like 1991ish and I think I was around 5 years old

Soak clothing in white vinegar I believe prior/before washing to prevent color bleeding. Oxiclean can help 💞 I’ve used that before on clothing. I don’t always like washing outfits because the tags inside are so fragile. Very light agitation if none.. soaking these older outfits is best. Oxi clean works well.

Most of those don't have tags. I keep updating my comment. 😂 The warly dolls bidies are really strong so you can scrub them. Be careful with the tnts bodies mainly the feet are fragile. Also both 60s the ponytail, bubblecutetc. , and tnt, malibu barbies have a large neck peg. They are made to be switched out . So can just take the head out , and swap. You did incredibly well. Live Action Christie alone sells upward of $300 to $500 in that condition. Go Go Cocoa refers to the hair color of the Twist N Turn Barbie. Barbie's from this MOD era had hair color names. Little bit of trivia for you...Live Action Christie is the only Christie that shares a head sculpt with the original P.J. sculpt. Which also happens to be the original Midge head sculpt.

you've probably already been looking at vintage prices after this buuuut: I've noticed that because older barbies have experienced generations of collectors by this points, they tend to be easier to find complete, same with fashion packs. Even finding them in good condition online isn't *impossible*, and for better prices than the average Bratz/MyScene from a decade or two ago lmao And its very funny seeing vintage clothing/dolls that ARE rare (usually store exclusives lol the more things change...)go for less than a random 00s fashion doll that was produced in MUCH higher quantities. It'll be so interesting to see how prices for 00s lines fluctuate over time.

@@xCanadensis 30fps has a more natural feel thus making it better for vlogging - out and about videos. I used to be really in photography as a teen and when I started dabbling with video - frame rate was super confusing to me bc I thought it was like video games where more frames the better, but it’s kinda of the opposite for most applications unless you are doing slo- mo or doing some really involved and fancy editing stuff. So I’d recommend trying to film in 30fps during your next shopping vlog if you remember ( or if you are willing ), I love all you do for the doll community and I just adore the out and about videos you do but when I watch them I have to pause and take breaks because I get motion sick everytime.

When you see a Barbie with the short full hairstyle, that's a Bubblecut Barbie, not a Midge. Even though she will be marked on her butt "Barbie & Midge". It just means they share a body from that era. Midge will either have a shoulder length flip or a chin length bob...and usually freckles.

They did infact use real rabbit fur in the 60's amazing start I have quite a bit of knowledge on the originals you're okay to use a soft bristle toothbrush for cleaning th but do be careful only.use soap and baking soda paste, wash the clothes separately and watch for bleeding, you can wash the hair like normal and to reroot the bubble cut you can check online with doll planet and other sites for the hair the original hair type was mohair which isn't made anymore but you can find a similar product, not every fashion had the tags only set pieces had the tags on one item usually the jacket or outer piece
