I don't know how to describe it, but there's something about the way you speak that makes it feel like a parent talking to a young child, but not in a way that feels patronizing. It's incredibly motivating to be able to pick out stuff, even if I'm not at an intermediate level yet. You've struck the perfect balance! Teachers around the world would be smart to emulate your method.
