Aw thanks so much Ron I appreciate this comment. There’s a lot I do for my dogs off camera that people don’t ever see. A lot of people just see parts and pieces and assume things in their own heads. Benji actually has a rare auto immune disease that he takes 5 daily medications for and needs to be watched 24/7. I buy these dogs so many things/treats half the time I don’t even get to give them all the treats and bones because I have too many to give! lol

They are very fortunate to have someone that actually loves them like family. Hey Becca! Listen, my man drives a T680, and every time he had his truck washed it would throw codes soon after. There were issues with the wiring harnesses getting cracked and water getting in, he said also the condensation from the a/c dripped onto one of those harnesses. He was able to put silicone which helped… Not sure about your issue but just fyi. Mechanic told him it’s a known issue.

Was wondering about it possibly being something like that. Factory routing of wire harnesses needs to be fixed. Ryder had to redo about 10 ground wires for the def sensor on the 2019 Volvo crane trucks that we had at the previous company. Rubbing and chaffing on the body somewhere that it completely shut down the first unit it happened to for about a week. Not a good thing with specialized equipment like that.

18:55 Try getting some GoreTex gloves! I worked for Postal service for a bit and wore Gore-Tex lined boots through puddles (read lakes) and feet never got wet.

Hi Ya Becca. I don't remember if I mentioned this last winter or not. As far as cold hands go, gloves are the worst. things to keep your fingers warm, as they keep your fingers separated which doesn't allow them to keep each other warm with natural body heat. I've been driving for 58 years this past June and I've always worn garbage mitts in the winter. Deck work the last 15 years. I'm in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada above North Dakota, so it gets darn cold here in the winter. I wear gloves in the warmer weather. The mitts I'm talking about are a straight leather outer, no fluffy, fuzzy stuff inside. Straight leather and then buy wool liners for the inside. You'll be amazed at the difference as now your fingers are together getting body heat. It takes a bit to get used to throwing straps with them, but once you do it's the best. If you can't get the straight leather and wool liners, then any mitt will be better than gloves. That's all we wore as young kids playing hockey up here as it was all outdoor rinks back then. The girls playing hockey also wore garbage mitts. I think they got their name from the garbage men that picked up the residential garbage bags by hand to throw in the trucks. Anyway, hope it helps a bit. And talk to the boys any way you like. I think it's real cute how you do it. Stay safe and happy trails.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, get a can of dubbin and work it into the leather. It waterproofs the leather. We used it as kids to soften our baseball gloves also. Take care.

Never thought of that, but it's been a long time since I wore mittens. May have to try them since I'm more westerly loads now than with the previous company. Heated waterproof ski gloves help as well. Not sure how much they would help once it hits negatives, but anything is better than nothing at that point.

Bummer getting stuck on a scale with a slope! One of our drivers messed up trying to creep up onto the scale and stalled in low, rolled back a smidge, could start the truck and ended up calling a hook to bail him out! Also, taking one of my maltipoo’s to the vet hospital tomorrow morning because he (Buddy) got a boo boo under his 👁️. Love the way you take your dogs with you! Transmission trouble again? Does the transmission fluid smell scorch? Perhaps time has come to change the transmission fluid and transmission filter? It is automatic transmission correct? The microphone is much better than previously but I was also assuming that the wind is a factor sometimes? I know that the wind blows constantly in all western states.

I was a heavy duty towing and recovery operator in Denver for Connelly's Towing and Recovery for 4 years and worked those mountains from Denver through the tunnels to Silverthorn and Vail every single day. I wear 10 mil nitrile( harbor freight) on the inside and Kevlar or just plain leather on the outside. The 10mil nitrile gloves are 50 pair a pack, so I buy a whole case, and put 3 or 4 packs in the doghouse. I found wd 40 is a great degreaser for headache racks. I buy a gallon and put into a Home Depot garden sprayer and spray wheels and racks in line to the truck wash. Again I buy 5 gallon cans from harbor freight at a time (it’s not lube, but a de greaser for all kinds of nastys
