I agree 💯 with you, You know how it works, you're on top of stuff when you're out doing your job, Good Job .... Even when I drove company with gps tracking my dispatcher knew where I was at all times. I tolld my dispatcher if for any reason I can't see my self making it for my delivery or pick up I'll let you know ahead of time.

Same thing happened to me last week. Pulling into the yard and my load i loaded was leaving without me!! Maverick needed more backing time. They don't teach enough backing in school.

Becca, new drivers make me nervous but we all had to learn, but your so right companies don't properly train there new drivers they throw them in a seat. That why I line up my own loads but I have had them cancel on me when I got there. Keep up the hard work your amazing young lady.

You backed up so well. One of the reasons why I didn't become a truck driver was backing up, but the first time I backed up a little trailer was the first time I drove my Dad's pickup truck, backed it into an alley way from a street (90 degree angle) first try. So maybe it wouldn't be so difficult but I worry about that part and how others would watch me and criticize lol.

I was in transportation for 10-1/2 years with the last 3 years as a dispatcher & Terminal Mgr. It is my opinion that your dispatcher should have initiated communication with you to confirm that you could or could not make the pickup before pulling it from you then giving it to another driver. That was a bad business decision on the part of the dispatcher. It goes both ways in transportation. The dispatcher can make or break the driver, but the driver can make or break the dispatcher as well. Driver’s are like Elephant’s, they have long memories. Treat them right and most will return the love.

I had a freightliner turn signals on the right turn signals would only work if the headlights were on. Come to find out the running board was bad after going I 15 S in Idaho Springs ID truck shutoff on the hwy said i was out of oil i turnef on the trk which cobtinued to run

I don’t haul a big rig (just a horse/cow and utility trailer) but dang, even I know the second you start turning that wheel when backing up you’re gonna get yourself in a pickle. Just keep that sucker straight (like you do when you’re going forward) and you’ll be fine.
