This is wild man, really sucks about the tools too, and the TRX! That stuff is expensive. The motor hauler is perfect, get that '23 Transit with the 3.5tt, we've done the research and it's the one to get. We want to get a Transit based motorhome, it's more expensive than the van but it'll also be our travel rig. 🤞

Sorry to hear this. Out of curiosity I did a search on youtube on how easy it would be to steal a RAM truck. Lots of articles came up about vulnerabilities these trucks have which make them easy targets. You might want to check it out if you're getting another. Funny thing is I was an exec for FCA for a brief period and it was never brought to our attention.

That is wild, I am *very* disappointed with the vulnerabilities. These trucks are not cheap and Ram is by far the best appointed interior of the heavy duty trucks, but theft is only getting worse and it should be addressed. I've also heard Hyundai/Kia are now compromised. I'm afraid this problem is only going to worsen as thieves get access to more sophisticated equipment.

@@vtranmoto a big target is the dodge charger hellcats too. I saw a video of 6 stolen from inside a dealership in about 30sec. It's crazy how fast they get into the car and are able to get it started. I would have thought with these key fobs, security would have been a lot better.

@@vtranmoto I'm not sure about now since I haven't been with them for years but when the RAMs first came out with the large infotainment screens we had a ton of problems with them. Lots of vehicles fell under lemon law due to those issues.

@@pokerpariah that makes sense, I remember trying out one of the first year releases and the screen felt very laggy, opted for the smaller dash and then eventually got the one with the 12" and it seemed performance was resolved. Thanks for watching and commenting btw! :)

haha I did the uHaul thing for my first year of tracking, it's honestly the smart thing to do while you're figuring out how deep (and expensive) you want to go into the track life! I'm pot committed now and there's no way out!

Man what a bad way to start a day! We had a rash of tailgates getting stolen a few years back and I was pretty pissed about just my tailgate getting stolen, I could only imagine if the entire truck was stolen.

that would be annoying! funny enough the tailgate extender wasn't on the truck so now I have a useless tailgate extender. Definitely a shit way to start the day/week!

What?! That's crazy! Sorry to hear about this. At least youll get a brand new truck out of it! Time to get cameras, put a hidden tracking bug in the truck that thieves won't know about, and like you said put your sensitive electronics in a protective barrier/faraday box. Honestly though, they usually pick up the signal from your keys when you actually lock/unlock the truck I believe. Not 100% on that but if your key fob isn't always constantly putting out a signal then they can only get the code from it when you use it. I know with my key fob I can turn off the signal by holding the lock button a pressing the unlock button twice. Might wanna see if yours can do the same.

just ordered a bunch of Airtags for all my bikes and will have them in my next vehicle/trailer etc. Definitely will take more serious measures going forward!

The thieves were able to disable the onboard GPS tracker. In the future I’ll have apple air tag on all my vehicles 👍

Sorry man... I got a bike stolen once, I know how it can be and the worry that comes with it. Do you by any chance live in Houston... Cuz my friend who lives there tells me there is a ton of crime. Even in nice neighborhoods.

Thanks Dukie, I'm just looking at my options, the Sprinters are $15-20k more than an equivalent Ford Transit van, pros and cons for van vs trailer. Just trying to figure out what's next at this point.
