Hi can you pls tell me the level of questions asked in the main exam compared to edx course and the logic book pls give a detailed answer as this will help me a lot by the way congrats I think you have already started your 1 year
@pieterhaspelino8 ай бұрын
Its about the same level, so if you completed the edx course and you understood everything then you will probably ace the maths part
@zLumi4 ай бұрын
did you (or for anyone else reading this comment) feel confident after the CST? I feel like because of the accessibility and usefulness of resources, the playing field is way too even! This really sucks because one small thing unable to be thought about on the test day might cost one of an entire spot, hope they make it a more transparent/open exam in the future, like release past exams what not and give more official guidance, or at least tell us more detail to how well we did per section.

Do you mean it‘s possible that the Dutch government and TU/D will not use a Matching & Selection procedure to select students for CSE BSc programme next year? If so, will they select students for this programme just by their high school transcript, CV and so on?
@pieterhaspelino Жыл бұрын
It is possible that the Matching & Selection will be removed, although not likely as the universities themselves can decide for still implementing tests. If it won't be decided by tests it will probably be decided by chance, a raffle kind of thing.

Hello Pieter, congralations🎉🎉 Great rank. Succes at TU Delft. I wonder which one is better for me english track or enlish-dutch track? And which track did you choose?
@pieterhaspelino6 ай бұрын
Thanks! The tracks don't differ that much, the only difference is that for very few courses you will be put in either a dutch class or an english class. If you're dutch I would recommend either dutch or English, but if you don't speak dutch I would recommend the English track even if you are trying to learn dutch there are difficult lectures to follow in Dutch if you're not fluent. Good luck with prep! 🍀

Hey Pieter, which university did you end up choosing? Also, could you tell me what the computational thinking part of the CST consisted of. And one last thing: what was the proctoring like when you took the exam, did you have camera and microphone turned on and was someone watching you during your CST? Thanks for you help :D
@pieterhaspelino6 ай бұрын
I am now studying at TU Delft! The computational thinking consisted of small puzzles that require reasoning to solve them, its all multiple choice. I did the CST on campus so I don't have any experience with the proctoring, but it will be explained to you. Good luck with prep! 🍀
@Armaan-Man9 ай бұрын
Congrats on attending Delft, I hope your enjoying it. I was wondering if you could explain wha the Algorithmic & Computational Thinking was like?
@pieterhaspelino9 ай бұрын
Thanks a lot! A&CT consists of just logic puzzles. Its kind of like riddles involving maths. An example could be: in a football competition of 12 teams, every team has to play against every other team. How many games are played in total? I hope this helps! Good luck with your preparations 💪

Hey could you please give some information about the team assignment in the selection procedure for BSc in CSE?
@pieterhaspelino9 ай бұрын
Of course, it's indeed not very clear what it entails. But basically, it is a mandatory assignment that you do with a team of 4 people in which you try to solve a puzzle. You contact your teammates via discord and then hop into a call when it's your teams timeslot. You don't have to complete the puzzle. For example, me and my team completed around 20% of the puzzle. But if you don't show up to the call you can't get in because its a mandatory part of the matching and selection procedure. I hope this answers your question, if not please let me know!

Hi! Does the math part had exercises like the edx course has or they are different but the same level?
@pieterhaspelino7 ай бұрын
The exercises are exactly the same level as in the edX course. An important thing to note is that on the CST you're only able to enter your final answer, so you don't get points for calculations, only for the answer. Therefore I would recommend practicing working very neatly as a small mistake will turn a good calculation into 0 points. Good luck with preparing! 🍀

Hey Pieter - Many congratulations for getting into TU Delft CSE!! Awesome rank. I have a question: if someone applies to TU Delft CSE (which is under numerus fixus), can that person also apply at TU Eindhoven for CSE under numerous fixus or is that not allowed? Also, which other courses or universities did you apply in your admission journey? Thanks!
@pieterhaspelino8 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching my vids, really appreciate it! You can apply for two numerous fixus studies currently. So it would be totally fine to apply both to TU Delft as to TU Eindhoven. Personally, I applied to TU Delft as well as to TU Twente :) feel free to ask more questions! Good luck with the admission journey!

@@pieterhaspelino Why did you prefer TU Delft and TU Twente compared to TU Eindhoven?
@pieterhaspelino6 ай бұрын
@cizney aI liked the curriculum better and the overall vibe at the universities, although eindhoven is also a great university with a nice curriculum.

Hi! How hard was the test and what topics did it include? Was it following the Dutch high school program or any other, e.g. British? Was the test multiple choice only or you had to explain your answers as well? Thanks!

Upd: found your other videos, gonna watch them!
@pieterhaspelino5 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching my vids! The topics are exactly what is given by the university, the difficulty is also very similar. The mathematics part was short open answers and the rest was all multiple choice if I remember correctly. Good luck with preparing! 🍀
