I've told you this before and alot of guys laughed at me. But I used to never use the turbo gaskets, hi temp copper was all and I never had 1 leak. With the new thicker gasket I got with my turbo from vsracing I used it to try. It's a MLS style gasket which I'm sure you know lol

Hey brotha , isn’t there a copper oring in the head for the exhaust pipe ? There *should* be one but what we always do on our drag bikes is use ultra high head copper like you did , in addition to the “copper ring(s)” exhaust gaskets .. you may be able to find a “turbo guard” in that size if you shop around

I agree with the plenum I spent some time on mine over the years but it's well worth it. If you do really good the boost Guage doesn't move around when referenced behind the carb. For charge pipes and plenum material don't laugh cause it got me over 35psi but PVC works great especially if you get creative and learn to heat and bend it. Keep in mind the heat it the big problem after 20psi these little guys need some work and a billet wheel to make more decently but as long as your goals are withing that range I don't see an issue and it's light. Beautiful job excited to see this running lol should need half the boost to make the same power my bike makes 155cc your 300cc right? If so the plenum size sounds good but remember a good air horn sucks most of it's air from behind it not the big open area I know very counter intuitive. Vht ceramic paint holds up fairly well with a air chuck blowing into a hose the you pull through the tube. I know a contraption but it will get the job done just make sure it's really clean do inside and out. Wait 2-3days then bake at 100 for an hr and let cool then bake up a100° for 30min each until at whatever your oven goes to then cool and carefully install then run it hard and it will bake the rest of the way. Wrap after this and it works really. well my bikes compound and I have massive spool improvements with it vs w/o. The bov in the plenum is fine the elbow you have on the throttle body will come off in boost and is extending the runner length a good bit. not saying you don't want that but atleast run your specs through a calculator online and see if your way off your powerband.
@oliverscorsim2 жыл бұрын
With the plenum, the size has nothing to do with power band runner length and dia do that along with cam and turbine. Don't stress the intercooler throw some dry ice in the e85 and youl get the fuel down in the -90ish and charge temps well under zero. It's how I keep the compound bike cool tbh. For a 40hp na it should make 75ish in my experience but I'm gonna say 15psi gets you 60ish (runner length on the intake, turbo manifold being long spool, clutch lol) mine does that at about 22psi but the first 18 was the big easy gains. So if you turn it up to 20-25 youl know. You should hit 80 pretty easy assuming the rest let's you get it down.
That's mental. Props for getting the plastics back on there, too. It looks wild. I bet you'll beat 50hp ez. My guess is 65 without M1.
@caperformance_motorsports2 жыл бұрын
M1 requires a ton of fuel volume , and requires extremely frequent oil changes .. imeo ethanol would be the better choice , something like ignite e98 or vp c85 , vp import might be a good choice

Get some graphite exhaust material and make your own gaskets. You can buy it in sheets.

hey man, i could be wrong but i did a few calculations. maybe my math is off but a 4 inch pipe 10 inches long is roughly 125.66cuin, or 2059cc, i think you need more like a 5.5 to 6in long pipe to target your goals. the math i used was pipe bore area X length of pipe, a 4 inch pipe has a radius of 2in which means the bore area is 12.57 x 10 (length of pipe) = 125cuin, or 2000cc

I put a gromfatherz 186 domed piston with a koso 4v ported head and a bunch of other supporting shit in my 21 Monkey. After like 100 miles the stock clutch is slipping in 2nd,3rd, and 4th gear when nailing it. I just bought the kitaco reinforced 6 disc clutch kit for it. Will this keep my junk from slipping? Thanks.

I cringe every time you say "PoUnDs Of BoOsT" like youre a teenager. You should learn the forces involved. Youre smart af, you got this.
