My two cents: Jon's Targaryen name / Game of Thrones season 7 thoughts

To be fair Jon's real name was revealed about 8 months ago due to a GOT leak with the family tree. I have been posting about it for months. Jaerhaerys, was leaked months ago, but it seems only in the last few days that it's been confirmed. Jon will sit on the throne and Dany will die imo.

I know that HBO published a Targaryen family tree after the season 6 finale, confirming that Rhaegar really is Jon's father. I didn't hear anything about any family tree leak. But that would be super cool, hope it's true. Yes, I do think Daenerys's endgame won't be all too positive for her. We need to see Jon on that damn throne at some point, damnit :)

I have been google searching for the link I saw, I found this, it wasn't the one I saw. At the end of the last ep almost a year ago. HBO leaked a family tree and it's why I knew Jon's name almost a year ago. I am still trying to find links for it. I think it was obvious that HBO made a mistake putting the family tree out and naming Jon as Jaerhaerys.

The family tree that HBO officially published after season 6 still names him Jon Snow. Did that family tree you're talking about name him Jaehaerys? Would be cool if you could find it again

I just know of that infographic they published and that still named him Jon Snow but showed he was Rhaegar's son.

Considering that Rhaegar was so obsessed with prophecy and recreating the Targaryen conquest that he named his son Aegon and his daughter Rhaenys... it's more fun to think that Jon being born a boy was such a surprise that his "official" Targaryen name is Visenya. Which is why Ned decided to name him Jon right on the spot. :)
