I hate that uber and lyft drivers always feel the need to talk the whole time. Simply small talk and silence, or just silence would be great. We don't all need to get to know each other. It's exhausting. I feel like people don't harass conventionally unattractive people for conversation as much as they do people they think are attractive. She sounds desperate as well, but I have noticed UB people approach us sometimes because chances are we are less toxic than UB environments, where they are continuously comparing and under competition against each other in a very nasty way (based on experience). I also noticed they perceived us as " white ppl" in terms of emotional intelligence levels ( they think white people have higher emotional levels ), which happens to me all the time, they see us as an "advantage individual" so they think we have all the answers in life. I have had several situations like this where they treated me like the " fixer" ...etc. I see that as a privilege as well. But can be tiring.

Tough situation to be in when you’re not the one driving. Had an uber driver tell me not even 2 minutes in that I “have it easy.” What?? All I did was sit down. Then he went on a creepy rant. Another one, after I asked him how he was doing he said “better now” as I was getting into the car 😭 I stayed on the phone the whole time. Yes, it’s happened to me in an uber on the way to the airport, except the woman who picked me up was Caucasian. She asked where I was going and I told her insert [popular major city in the US] and she seemed…impressed? She mentioned that there might be construction on the way and I told her it wasn’t too bad because I was just at the airport the previous week, and didn’t notice any road closures. She asked where I had traveled to during the previous week and I told her to insert [popular major city in Europe]. She took a pause and then asked me what it was that I did for work. LOL
