What a beautiful, warm family you have. The simple life is the best life. Was that sour cream on your potatoes? What were the cherries fermenting in? We have to protect our garden and fruit trees from the deer and bears! Thank you, again!

Thanks a million ♥️ yes, sour cream in ny country goes almost with everything 😋 and cherries are long term preserves in water with some sugar, which turns into what we call compote. 🤗

What a lovely video- thanks you so much for posting this. It was nostalgic for me to see the big jar of preserved fruit, the walnut harvesting and mushroom hunting. I did all of those growing up, my mother was mad about mushroom collecting. She is 96 now, with severe dementia, and this reminded me of so many things we did together.

This was so wonderful to see your Baba and the harvest. Her using the pich and the cat sitting off to the side keeping warm. It brings back stories my Mama used to tell me of when she was a little girl in Ukraine. Thank you so much for sharing this video. Mmmmm. Canned cherries. We used to do that when I was growing up. Oh gosh, Teti.. what a beautiful episode. It made me a bit teary as it reminded me of my beautiful grandmother who has long passed, and whom I miss so very much every single day. She was fromAustria, and grew so many vegetables.. and would knit & crochet just from her own imagination. I have to know one thing.. the potato stack!! Is it done this way to store them? I grow my own too, but it is very hot in Perth, Australia.. so I am always trying to find ways to make them last 🙂 x Tea
