Great vid with good advice. You're a sensible bloke. I agree that its best to keep things as simple as possible. And with bigger bikes, forget about the options and learn to ride better. Not 100% sure about the rad guard; the slots are big enough to let small gravel chips through. The original ones offer decent protection in this regard.

Personally, I'm more worried about the big impacts that would damage a radiator, and not small rock chips. And unfortunately the stock ones are basically useless for that :)

But keep in mind, alu pegs will break way more easy than steel once... I won't use them if usage is something rallyish..

It's all a compromise at the end of the day... I never managed to break foot pegs in my own experience, so for me keeping them light and grippy was a bigger priority. But then there are also titanium options which are super sturdy, maybe too sturdy at times :)

@@KRANKiT yep. On my local track there were a few guys, especially enduro rider riders which haven't good experience with aluminum pegs. But Ti.. I got those on my mx bikes. But dude... These are rippin my legs.. I think its because of the, sometimes too much, grip.

Does the Acerbis tank solve the problem of the 2024 bikes fuel pump pick up not being at the bottom of the tank? Great build man. Doing the same with a 2024 FE350 right now.
@KRANKiT7 ай бұрын
Thanks! And no, unfortunately that problem persists since the fuel pump shape is the same.

Krankit thanks for the video. I went to that website for the tank and I guess the tank for the 450 and the 500 are different. As soon as I put my ride in the web site it doesn't show the tank . I called Acerbis and asked them and they said they haven't designed a tank for the 2024 500EXC-F. must be some small difference.

That sounds odd... I would have never thought the 500 and 450 were that different...

@Ypxfrd but not for the prices..Nothing agains KTM, i drive nearly any model of them but at the end, i come to a Honda CRF 450x..Its just an amazing bike, where you dont need to change anything, its nearly perfect stock..and also you dont have to change oil every damn 10h or something
@Ypxfrd4 сағат бұрын
@@DJXentar In KTMs' you also dont have to, for bikes it would be the best to change oil as often as possible, no matter the brand, nothing bad will happen if you dont change it that often, but they type this manual because obv they want your bike to live as long as possible, no matter the price
