This is really nice and all, but Trials used to be a global sport and Bou's domination is just a symptom of how Dorna mismanages every sport they got hold of. Trials profile regressed so far under Dorna that the FIM ended their contract and things have started to improve since that happened. Dorna are a Spanish company and have pushed everything in to Spain, like with MotoGP, and it harms the popularity of the sport. They even tried to do the same with British Superbikes of all things, and nearly destroyed it

REQUEST · History of indoor enduro/endurocross/superenduro From the start as a sideshow to the Barcelona indoor trials round in February, then the 1st solo event in November, Eric Peronnard (the Paris-Bercy Supercross guy) bringing it to Las Vegas like 2-3 years later... and the whole rise and fall We used to have 2 major championships (World and AMA) with proper TV contracts, over 12000 live spectators in Barcelona and other events, World Enduro Championship regulars racing most of the Winter (short-legged Stefan Merriman was trash at it but he tried so hard, God bless him!), the X-Games events, MX vs ATV Untamed had 2 tracks... to now I remember the early years so damn well. Juha Salminen was the best until he moved to the USA, won in Barcelona like 4 years in a row. Then it was Knight vs Cervantes, then Blazusiak joined the party... I remember the 30cm-deep sand sections, the 30cm-deep pools of water, the pebbles, the rocks of all sizes, the tractor tyres, the concrete tubes, going up and down the stairs of the grandstands, the log pyramids... It was maybe the coolest motorsports discipline UNTIL the big economical crysis, the pure enduro riders losing interest and how "jumpy" courses are nowadays (SO MUCH DIRT IN FRONT OF EVERY SINGLE GODDAMN LOG AND BIG TYRE!!!).

I am a proud owner of xpulse 2004v. hero makes great value bikes. The only thing I hate about Hero is the maintenance and the interval. Hero has to do huge numbers of maintenance in their service centre. They do it pretty fast on spleder as these are simple and cheap, but they dont really have good guys for xpulse, atleast in some service centres. and the biggest issue is that for xpulse the service interval is 3 months or 3000 kms which is ridiculous. I have no idea why it is like this

I'm from South Africa and Sherco was not something I saw except for in the Hard Enduro, but the other day I walked past one and had to turn back and go check it out, what a beaut of a bike, if I was looking at getting an enduro bike, I think Sherco would be at the top of my choice list.

That engine was a mess in the 450 bikes. BMW tried to re-brand a Husaberg as one of its own and it was nothing but problems as well. It is pretty well known in the dirt bike community that you don't touch a Husaberg that isn't actually a KTM

I remember when the EXP2 started getting attention in the American press. It was super cool to read about, and was presented much as you've done here - an engineering marvel. I wonder if we'd eventually see hydrogen powered dirt bikes vs a super clean 2-stroke engine. Then again, if we ever get battery tech dialed in (long lasting and quick recharge) all this becomes a mute point. Excellent video

HardEnduro has the advantage that it mainly is nothing speedy. And riding slower allows people see different techniques to solve obstacles or hills. Riding an enduro bike in terrain which better solved with a trial bike is more amazing than flying through muddy forests

Since the road maps are now digital. And the format of it is quite standard, cant they now come up with a simple AI to translate the road book onto google earth on the go. And to rub salt on the wound it can be called as ‘Mapman AI’ !!
@KRANKiT3 күн бұрын
Technically ... I guess so. But riders only get access to the roadbooks like 15 minutes before the day start, so no point in it.

My last KTM dirt bike was a 2014 350 excf. It was an awesome bike but missed a touch of low down snap and excitement that I missed from my previous Honda CRF450X and WR450. I think if I got another one it would be the 450 or 501

6:04 Bottom line tells you all you need to know. Shareholder - Pierer AG 100% (Owner of KTM, Husqvarna and Gas Gas) There's an old racing saying 'Win on Sunday, sell on Monday'... KTM took it a step further, 'Make our own championship, win on Sunday, sell on Monday' *Also cheat and assist your own team riders away from the cameras to make sure they win, and penalise riders from other teams teams if they look like having a shot at the title!

Less than 5% of world riders can actually ride the extreme and tough obstacles. But you missed the main reason why it's slowing down. Public lands is becoming even tougher to hold events. More expensive and time consuming. Ktm/rb don't open pockets to those who keep the terrain available. So we are going away.

I love my two strokes. I love my four strokes. I also love my Tesla plaid because the instant torque and horsepower is amazing. I have not had the privilege to ride a stark dirtbike yet, but just think of the possibilities electric dirt bikes open. We will find electric motocross and Enduro tracks everywhere, because no one cares at all as long as the motorcycles don’t make any real noise. The things I do in my hellcat, really upset people on the road. I can do things much faster and quicker with the Tesla plaid, and all they do is wave. If you love off-road motorcycles, we should all embrace them as they will change everything.

You're the man we needed -- we who are too lazy to find out all this shit, but still want to know it. Your levels are all high, sir. Loved your piece on the 950 some months back. I happen to own a 950SE, my second one in 10 years, and it never stops making me look like I know how to ride (like a competent lunatic). KTM has done so much for this universe... let us hope they retire Mr Pierer and put someone a little more humble, more realistic and less... shall we say kakistocratic in charge.

I’ve been riding for 30 years off-road but never really watch enduro because it was so messy no clear championship. Everybody was a winner of a famous race that’s about it. I think the wess series brought a lot of people attention like me to follow riders in their score to see who will be the champion and just for that I think it is worth it. If we are coming back at each race level it’s kind of boring and no suspense. I will finish by saying that the decision to give only Mani two hours penalty at Romaniacs was only because if you remove him half way of the championship then people will lose interest, cause we all like the battle between Wade mani Billy and Mario. Finally, for those who don’t understand hard enduro I would simply say to them what is the excitement watching classic enduro where you see riders speeding in circles like hamsters on a grass field. I am not trying to be mean just trying to demonstrate that criticism can be said on both sides. By the way, very nice video, your channel will get very far
