Very helpful video Dabido! I was trying to create a docker for Notion2Anki but I don't understand why my computer does allow me to download the Docker App. Can you please help me out, is there any other app that I can use?
@dabi_3 жыл бұрын
Heya! Hmm, not sure, most computers should be able to install/use Docker regardless of PC vs Mac. Make sure you’re using an account with admin privileges on your computer and potentially turning the firewall off temporarily could help. If you’re having too much trouble, you could potentially just use the Notion2Anki website itself online.

Honestly, they’re probably a bit too messy and full of copyrighted material to be distributed 😂 it probably wouldn’t be as useful as you think. If I do sanitise it and make a deck available to public, I’ll make an announcement or something.

Hi! Can this work on the Anki mobile? I’m planning on making and reviewing flashcards using only my ipad. Great video btw!
@dabi_3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately it doesn’t :( you definitely need a computer in order for this to work I think. You could probably get as far as even creating the Anki package in the Notion2Anki website (after exporting the HTML from Notion), but I’m not sure if the iPad app itself can handle the Anki package filetype, despite actually being the Anki app. I could be wrong.

It’s on my list of things to consider! I’m quite invested into the whole Notion ecosystem, since I literally use it for everything (business and studies). But the Remnote guys are doctors too so I have no doubt that it’s genuinely really good.

I just found this tool and seems amazing but I have a question why not make flashcards directly in anki? Maybe the question is silly sorry
@dabi_3 жыл бұрын
Fantastic Q - basically one of the problems with making cards directly in Anki is that Anki therefore becomes your database of where to search information in. Which is a bad idea, because although you can search individual pieces of information easily, it’s really not gonna be great as a “second brain” kind of thing. This really just lets you essentially use Notion as your main knowledge database, and you can copy-paste it in a way that is easy to port over to Anki.

@dabi_3 жыл бұрын
@@nickalkhouri hmm...a way that I think could work is to click on the docket icon on the top right corner of Mac and open the dashboard, then next to the server you’ve named (which if you’re using my instructions will be called “nn”), you can reboot it up by clicking the play button. Otherwise, you can try removing the server in Docker (via Terminal, which can be found by googling) and then just try reinstalling it. Not sure how to help otherwise!

I’m not sure if you can use an mp3 file here as I haven’t tried. ¡Lo siento, no entiendo español! Pero muchas gracias por ver el video. De las palabras en inglés que puedo leer, creo que su pregunta era sobre el audio. No estoy seguro de si puede usar un archivo mp3 aquí, ya que no lo he intentado. (Google Translate)

@@mariakarenquijano687 I’m not sure where you’re getting stuck, but you could try the following: - have you “cd” into the correct folder on your computer? - have you included the dot in the correct places? - you can just type localhost:8000 into Safari rather than “http//local host:8000” which has a few typos

I don't get why you need to automate this process. Isn't the process to convert notes to flashcards another healthy review and repetition process if done manually? But of course I'm not a medical student.
