Amazing set up. Only thing it needs is better cable management to give it a sleeker look. For example drilling a hole in the wall behind the tv and behind your entertainment center and run all the cables through there.

And here in brazil we almost die to buy a simple pc.... :( the north american life is better than the south american :(

Ok your set-up is definitely what I'm leaning towards. The sonos and the hue lights are very ideal. The 4 k TV I'm holding off on till more 4k content becomes available. But all in all has given me some stuff to look into and think over. Great video as always.

You should try running your wires through the wall, I did that in my basement when I upgraded to a 4k and it makes it look soooo much cleaner, that said, amazing setup

Like the setup just waiting to do my sound this fall. Only criticism would be the two cords going up to the TV. You should really dismount the TV cut a whole behind it and the entertainment unit and feed all your wires through that. That clean professional look gets me a lot of complements with my set up.

You should get cable covers to make the layout cleaner, just find the right size covers (bestbuy), spray paint them to the color of your wall and BAM.

I've been using Vera Lite for home automation. I have replaced all recepticles in my home with z Wave. I also use EMBY as my home media server (I am a Dev for that particular Application). I have written a cool Vera Lite plugin which triggers Home Automation Events when Media begins streaming to different devices in my home. Be it, the Chromecast in my bed room (dimming the lights there), or the XB1 in my living room (dimming all the lights in my open concept main floor).

If you lived in LA I'd hook you up but you don't haha but it's not the hardest thing and entirely worth it.

You should plug your Xbox One controllers in and update them - yes, that's a thing! Newer firmwares will cause them to wake up from sleeping almost twice as fast. Sounds like a small improvement, but it makes a big difference when you just want to sit down and get playing.
