My Ultra Compact HX Stomp Pedalboard! Just thought I'll share this little project that I have been excited about and hopefully inspire some of you guys! Hx Stomp has been around for years and what I'm doing here is nothing new. But I really like the layout and the functionality!

Hi! I have a pretty similar board, with the same M-VAVE midi pedalboard (which I don't particularly like because I cannot power it with my power supply, but functionally is excellent). I have a question though, how are you switching from EXP 1 to EXP 2? In my case the expression pedal is locked into one or the other.

My power supply has a 5V USB out and that is perfect for charging the chocolate. However I find the chocolate has a very long lasting battery! So if I need to, I'll just remove it and charge it. I do not wish to damage the battery by charging it too frequently. Exp 1 to 2 can be set on FS4 to Toggle Exp. The function was probably designed for expression pedal with a toe switch like a classic wah. But since the Dunlop don't have a toe switch, an external momentary switch will do the job.

Hey men, what kind of cable u using here to power your hx stomp from joyo5, i do have they same power supply like yours, and my problem is that it powers the hx stomp but once when i engage my preamp from one of the tree switches it creates a weird noise that i dont what cause compare to if i only used the original power supply,,

Hi. Can you tell me where you got the white 'caps' for the buttons/footswitches please?

They are call toppers and there are plenty of brands and options out there. I 3D printed mine though.

what power cable are you using to power up the stomp?

That would be 2 cables wired in parallel, summing the current of 2 outputs into 1.

How Do u like joyo power ? Do you get any issue with it . Cause its cheaper power .. I know strymon and cioks are good powerr. But i think they are quite out of my range at least for right now ..

hmm I don't know if it makes any difference to the quality simply because it is cheaper. It feels solid and has been working well for me. I use it for lessons and this means it will be left on for hours every day. Apart from lasting only around 3-4hrs, which I think is reasonable, it has not failed me or gave me any issues so far. The build material and quality feels solid. I won't hesitate to buy another for another build. :) I guess we are looking at a lot of factor as to why things are often cheaper if they are made in China, it doesn't not always means lousier quality as we are told to believe.
