My Ultra Gear Set-Up | Packing for UTMB

A run through of the main gear I used at UTMB: there's a lot of mandatory gear requirements, so here's what I typically race with and how I aim to be safe but as light as I can in the mountains.

Good to see what you used in the race Harry. It was a real highlight seeing you finish in such a strong position after following your preparation videos and posts. We got really excited watching the finish line footage here, I can hardly imagine how good it was to run in and experience that crowd from your perspective. Another useful video Harry. Could I request a video of how your regular kit has changed since you moved back to the UK? As someone who started trail running in Thailand and is about to move back to Ireland I'd appreciate knowing what to use/avoid to enjoy my runs as much back in the cold and wet. Thanks for any insight you can provide and well done on your result at UTMB.

Always a pleasure to watch your videos Harry! I'd be interested to know how many bottles or liquid capacity you were carrying around with you in your pack was it 1.5l? I always carry a little bit of shea-butter in a pouch, acts as a natural vaseline, can be super handy for many things (chaffing, toes, mouth area). I went back to watch my pack list for Ultra Pirineu after this just to see what I had different :D

His are HOKA (not sure if they're for sale) but Decathlon, Salomon, INOV8 all make a waterproof mitt. Awesome for long wet races
