I feel the same, but they do stop making the GOTY doll after the year is over. They sometimes don’t sell as well so they are there for longer. Also I love your channel soooo much. I agree with you on most everything! Especially the GOTY year line one! AG is trying to boost sales, but in reality they are losing their exclusivity they are known for. It us really disappointing! BTW, your hair, makeup, decor in the background, I love it!

Yay a new video! I agree on the GOTY's like Luciana is still in stores after 3 or 4 years- Yeah the wellie wishers are also cheaper quality in my opinion because I got one back when I turned 8 and now her head is kinda loose from brushing her hair.

I completely agree that GOTY should only be available for one year. I remember that I got Isabelle for Christmas and I was so so excited because she was my second ag doll and I felt really special because she was only available 2014. Now, you can just get them whenever which just totally defeats the purpose.

I agree just get the Our generation doll accessories, because I honestly think they are a better PRICE. Willie wishers have been known to have there’re legs fall off as well. I honestly think the bitty babies are not worth 60 bucks because there are more realistic baby dolls (with real hair), and also I understand bitty babies for younger kids but again if they are for younger kids they should be cheaper. I honestly love the Swarovski crystals on the dolls’ outfits because I’m old enough to know that it’s real like really real and of course I have Swarovski Crystal earrings so having earrings that match your dolls outfits 😝

My wellie wisher doll the other day I picked her up a and her leg fell off, I read some articles about them and I had heard a rattling from inside from the day I got her. Turns out she was broken from the start! The lowering in quality is why I’m no longer buying directly from the company, second hand only.

Tysm heart, this was great and you practically read my mind! The sugarplum fairy was really cute but there pricing was way too much with the crystals. The custom dolls definitely could've been more diverse, I feel like their are not enough combinations. I miss the bitty twins as well, they were really cute. I agree with literally everything you said, nice job. Do you guys agree with how the Joss surf bus was literally WAY too much money? I agree to everything you listed. The GOTY thing frustrates me. I think they are more valuable to only keep them in that year. But I feel like the brand is going to 10 year olds. Their mix and match “kawaii” themed was little the most justice inspired thing I have ever seen. More of their audience is the teens. They clearly have better fashion sense than Jojo Siwa stans💀

heeyyyy! i find that it's more enjoyable for me to make videos that don't necessarily require me USING my dolls in it, like this video is a good example. i've also been loving creating commentary/video essays, so maybe experiment with something new? i like to record on the weekends so that i can just have the videos ready to be uploaded. hope this helps!

I agree with a lot of them! I think my most unpopular opinions are that I think the boy dolls are fine, and I don’t really get why they’re hated so much. If they get stories, then I’ll have a problem. I also think the same with the colored hair dolls. I think their hair is pretty, but it annoys me that 2/3 of them are light skinned, blue eyed classic molds. Most people are going to disagree with this one, but I think American Girl should keep the clothes kid friendly. It’s a brand for 8+ girls, so of course the clothes will be on the more sparkly side. I kinda think that everyone overestimates how “unicorn and rainbowish” the clothes are, it’s not that bad to have colorful clothes. Plus, that really defeats the purpose of people that make and sell doll clothes for older collectors. I think if American Girl did make more mature clothes, the fans would still complain and say that doll clothes makers can’t do their stuff anymore, and that they were stealing the community’s ideas (kind of like what you said with the create your own dolls). Well those are my opinions! :)

With the custom doll line, I know for me as a collector with almost no customizing experience, it was really great to be able to have the doll made through them. They also sell skin tone and face combinations that don’t actual exist in the line.

I totally agree with what you said about the girl of the year line, I don't get why Luciana is still featured in the catalogs, she was a great doll but its pointless to have a "girl of the year line" if they are available for years after. I also really hate how American girl has chosen to shine light on a lot of the 20th century dolls and forget the rest, Julie and Maryellens collections are so big but Julies time wasn't super different to what we have today and American girl gave her this huge collection. there is a doll for almost every decade in the 1900's but only two in the 1800's and they'r collections are extremely small, Addy and Josefina are some of my favorite dolls and they are basically forgotten in favor of the more modern dolls

I think the Wellie Wishers adorable 🥰 they are so cute and so tiny! When I was ten I got ashlyn and she has always Been the little sister and in the end I also got Willa, but now my little sister plays with the wellie wishers and loves them so much! They are great for her because she is a little bit rough with AG dolls. That is just my opinion on them but I’m sure a lot of the older collectors in the AG community probably feel the same way as Heart and there is nothing wrong with that. :)

I think AG is so much more money driven than it was before. They don’t seem to care much about how original or diverse their ideas are but look more at how it would appeal to the eyes of a 8 year old and even changing details in quality stating “kids wouldn’t know the difference”.Recently I’ve been looking into getting from smaller doll companies that feel like they still have passion behind what they’re doing. I’m really disappointed in AG.

american girl is a company and as every company they’re here to make money so selling the welly dolls, bringing back retired dolls and having the girl of the year be available for more than a year is profitable for them. I understand why they do it and I respect it. Plus their products are not by any means cheap so having more time to buy them is also good for the customers and not just them

I 10000 percent agree with everything ESPECIALLY with the GOTY dolls being available years after their release. Like they started doing that with Luciana and continued to do it. It ruins the special feeling of getting a limited doll y’a know? Another thing that makes me FURIOUS is the lack of representation! There’s not a lot of dolls of color and there’s certainly not enough ethnic backgrounds. I really would love to see an Indian doll or a doll who wears a hijab! Like come on I get it it’s called American girl. But America has so much diversity and we need to see that diversity being represented in this doll company!

This was awesome! I love watching people's unpopular opinions about AG! I agree that AG should bring back the Best Friend line and retire GOTY's sooner. I also think that they should not have so many grafics on the T shirts because it looks like they didn't put as much effort into the shirt and it also makes it look a bit corney. Unlike you I like the WellieWishers because they are like little sister's for the AG dolls but because they are entirely plastic their a bit to much like Barbies. It would be cool if AG could give the WellieWishers cloth bodies.

Retired dolls should come back because it's good for the kids. It brings their stories to light. The historical dolls should do a ten year cycle where they're out for 10 years, retired for 5-10 years with new collections each time. It keeps the line fresh, it allows each generation of children to have a chance at the stories being promoted, and it prevents some dolls for being out for way too long (I'm looking at you, Julie) and others from being in the cycle for too little time (Cecile & Marie-Grace as well as Caroline). There's a rumor right now that Nanea is about to be cubed. Why? She's relatively new. Julie should be cubed. No offense to Julie lovers, but this doll needs to go away for 5-10 years, and then Mattel may get designers that actually want to do 70s clothing. Novel idea.

They need more variety of things catered towards girls that are older or even adults and on the flip side need more things catered towards younger toddlers ages 3-5. They have only a couple bitty baby items and they’re always back ordered or sold out. Not even very cute either. Not like they used to be. I also miss the bitty twins and the best friend dolls.
