Re Sims, I personally would like to get wedding stories on sale just for the world, but feel so frustrated that they released such a glitchy pack and didn't even finish adding the dog ring bearer that appears in the code :( Just as an fyi since you have a gaming channel, there's a game I became obsessed with that you may enjoy. It's pretty old but it's called Dragon Quest Builders 2 (there's also 1 but 2 has a few QoL improvements that make it the better choice). It's an rpg and building game with sim aspects that I'd like to see a simmer review, if you find it on your preferred gaming platform - not sure if you have a ps4 since that where I played it.

As for cultural add-ons to the game, as an Asian, I don't really like it when The Sims 4 overly emphasizes how fun and interesting and exotic our culture is. Like, just add it in the game without making such a big deal out of it, because anything more just makes me feel like I'm a trend or a commodity. I'm not a piece of product. I have an identity, not a trend that you can market for the sake of pandering to diversity.

The Sims 2 was the only game in the series to feature neccessary purchases of clothes. Create A Sim allowed access to whatever you wanted, but you could only select one outfit, per category. After loading into a world/town, a Sim would have to buy clothes, if a player wanted them to have more. I personally think a difficulty selector would be awesome. I also want the shell buildings to be optional rabbit holes, at least they'd have a use.

I actually really like having to go out to buy stuff even though the Sims 2 isn’t open world. I also like how if you do leave your lot at all (besides for work or school) time doesn’t pass at your home lot, so even if you go out for a few hours, when you go back home it’s the same time as it was when you left.

I still like the shopping features in Sims 2 over other versions. Not only the clothes, groceries as well or else your fridge will run empty. Plus the extra video games Sims can play. Sims can play a lot of types of EA games back then.

Satch may seem harsh sometimes, but if I had discovered his channel sooner, I would’ve saved money on a bunch of packs. sims medieval is such an underrated game. you are reading text boxes, but the lack of sandbox that i enjoy in the sims 3 is made up by the completely medieval theme. there’s goals for you to do and different storylines and starts and such

I think a lot of young people have trouble expressing negative opinions without being mean. It probably comes down to social media algorithms promoting things that give people strong emotional responses. I agree with a lot of your points in your video. I genuinely enjoy your content. I don't if this counts as an unpopular opinion but when doing the wedding event, I would like to see the groom and bride friends list to invite to the wedding instead of just seeing one friends list. Also with the gallery, it's hard to filter out all the packs you don't have. I don't have a lot of packs in my game and honestly find it hard to download lots/apartments in my game because majority of the apartments upload to the gallery use like a thousands packs. No hate on the sims community but I would like see more builds that have base game and one pack

just filter for Basegame only builds and add the stuff of packs you do own or like to play with. also, on YT you can find hundreds of basegame and basegame + builds. it's not the mistake of the community that the filter function of the gallery is not working at all. 🤔

Like if I filter by vampires and realm of magic, any lot that uses one of those will show up, even if uses other packs, like batuu, that specifically unchecked. I’m yet to find away to filter only by packs you have while excluding any lot that uses a pack you don’t own.

Sims 3 took the crown on lag and glitchy-ness, but the gameplay was deep and awesome so we all dealt with it (the Sims were a little fugly too, but again, the gameplay made it worth it). Sims 4 has no spontaneity and is too safe, which makes it boring! Bring back the burglars and meteor deaths, and all the wonderful messed up chaos.

I think one of the things that annoys me so much about the lack of compatibility between Parenthood and High School Years is that CAS. In Parenthood all the CAS is "rebellious tween" vibes, and the clothes in High School Years are more "stylish adult university student". So it's even less clear whether teenagers are meant to be 14 or 19

weirdest glitch i get is when my sims mom continuously texts my sim asking if she should try for another baby with her husband and it's so annoying. i get it so many times. i'm not sure if this came from the story progression update or what but damn. i love the idea of story progression and i think it could really enhance gameplay but i completely agree on how you say they implemented it poorly because they really did. and i honestly love your unpopular opinions because i feel the exact same way with about every single one! the thing is, everybody's opinion could be different than others and i think that's what makes the sims enjoyable. there are so many different play styles and different ways you can play. so obviously people will have different opinions on things in the game and DLC. i love how honest you are in your videos and it makes it so entertaining to watch. keep going satch, love you!

One of my sims couple has already 7 children bc of that. It’s so annoying. Also I think whims and fears are also annoying because personally one of my sims has a fear and when they supposedly “over come it” it just comes back again that doesn’t make any sense. And literally if I don’t complete my sims whims in a short time they can easily get the fear of not fulfilling dreams (sometimes I trie to complete whims but they don’t work). Also everyday when they come back from their job they just get the fear of end-job WITHOUT ANY REASON even when they have already overcome it. I decided to unable it but it just turns back on for no reason. Another bug

I LOVE scripted events! And yes 100% on the woke issue. In an effort to create less hate, they simply create more and it makes no sense. I agree with a lot of this. Especially clothes shopping. I miss going to the shop and updating my Sims wardrobe. Why am I running a shop and dressing mannequins if my other sims can't shop there. It would give me a reason to work, then go shop, etc. I also think some scripting would help, especially with events and challenges, that would also give a reason to play, it seems a lot like spinning wheels. I do like Wedding stories (not for weddings) because of Tartosa and the build buy and I recreated the cast of the Wedding Singer and Robbie sings there sometimes. But all my games is me creating characters and then having to also decide what or how to get them to do what I want my story to do, which is sometimes impossible. I still buy all the packs (on sale) and some are definitely more miss than hit. Like, laundry, when they just kept throwing dirty clothes everywhere!

I liked Stranger Ville! I liked it because it had a storyline and a goal, lol. I liked it being optional but really enjoyed the gameplay! I was disappointed with Dream Home as well but that's because my grandmother was a interior decorator and so I KNOW the job, lol. I think a great idea would have been to have a shop to get your clients. I'd have preferred a better reputation system for it as well. Realistically reputation in interior design is 80% of how you gain new clients. You fail a job and take a hit to your rep and loose out on potential clients. Getting recognized by clients in the world gives you access to more advertising as well. The better you do the better chances you have of a magazine picking up your work and doing a story. As for the culture thing... I'm Native American so I'd love to see more cultures in the game. The little sims 3 store buy was kind of insulting and I literally only got it for the dreamcatcher, lol. I love seeing more ethnicities and cultures so I've been thrilled with some of the packs. I'd have loved to see some of my own culture represented but I'm not picky I just like it in general.

My biggest complaint over the last couple years is how toxic the sims community has become. There’s people online that I’ve unfollowed just because of how they treat other people in the sims community. I remember recently Doja Cat made a sim and she wanted to share it with her fans and everyone jumped on saying how ugly the sim was. In my opinion, the sims has always been about accepting everyone no matter what or who you are, even more so than other communities. I don’t see that being a thing anymore. It makes sense that EA doesn’t want to make good packs because no one will be happy with it anyway. Why should they even try? Just sucks seeing the sims community become what it is now.

I loved sims bustin out which was like a giant scripted event. I love sims 2 scripted events and then going into your own gameplay with it. So I would actually love scripted events but I think sims 4 have those challenges now? I haven’t tried since I no longer play that game so please let me know if that’s similar. Great video! I agree with all of your points, except the parenthood/dream home decorator one. I think that the dream home decorator and parenthood build and buy catalogues are some of the most versatile and nice looking in the game. I seriously cannot go without either of the packs when building. I primarily build in the sims so the lacking gameplay wasn’t a major issue for me, but for people who only play in live mode, the problems you mentioned with it are understandable.

I’m a big sims builder and ive started with all the cheaper dlcs so i have to say i really enjoy the packs and dream home decorator because i really like the build from it. That being said, i really haven’t gotten most of the popular packs. I would LOVE scripted events. I feel like i spend so much time planning out and event and it goes wrong for literally no reason so yes that would be great. I also think it really helps the game aspect when i put a story line to my sims

I was pretty far down in my legacy and moved out the non-heirs because meh and the 2 brothers died from laughter and a satellite, so the younger sister seemed to have vanished. She was alive still so I tried to adopt her to bring her back but can't find her.

Just a tiny note - you can wear any outfit without buying it in TS3 CAS as well :) It was TS2 where you had to buy those outfits, which was realistic but also super frustrating sometimes lol. Parenthood and DHD feel really repetitive and shallow to me, to be honest. I like the idea of the packs, but the execution not so much (which is how I feel about most TS4 packs...) Hate you too, Satch! Kidding, of course. I agree that the community can be very toxic sometimes which is why I usually don't comment on things at all. The last thing I want to do is argue with/be bullied by random people on the internet. I also agree about people complaining. The cultures and other diversity that is added in the game is *optional*. No one forces you to use those objects/options, so why complain about them? What I do think is that we should be careful with the word woke. Woke is basically just being aware of social issues, so technically, being against discriminatory language could actually be considered woke more so than the examples you mentioned, if that makes sense. And I think it's totally fine to not understand certain things, as long as we respect each other and don't discriminate against each other for those things that we might not understand. Sorry if I'm not making any sense, it's late here and English isn't my first language. I just see people use the word woke as an insult/negative thing a lot these days, so I just wanted to express my feelings about it I guess :) Okay now I'm gonna stop typing because this got waaay too long lol.

I really enjoy these videos from you. I've been struggling with what packs to buy and I'm looking for game changers, not to just add a tiny bit of game play. I want to do new things with my Sims, have new aspirations that actually affect my game in some way, like family game play gets old for me very quickly, I just end up aging up my toddlers. im so tired of Family Play Simmers having to jump thru hoops to make the game interesting. Someone needs to be brutally honest and im glad it's you who's doing it. I also like Yin , she's real af too 🥰

You've done the right thing to ignore the hate or bully message, just block them. I agreed that Parenthood and high school shouldn't be separate packs. Most packs have potential but poor executions. Maxis have always rushed the game, that's why it's so buggy and glitchy.

I really miss scripted events! It was so much fun in the sims 2 to know when you first play a family there was going to be some crazy events happening. My favorite town was Strangetown and all the alien drama, I really wish they had those back and had aliens fleshed out more as an occult they were my favorite to make stories with.

Dream Home Decorator should have been a stuff pack, it would be the second most popular stuff pack after paranormal. I do like the build buy stuff, but it comes with less game play than paranormal - a stuff pack. I like Parenthood, but I play a lot of family game play. I like unpopular opinions as it helps me play differently than normally.

I wish scenarios were baked into townies! That would make it feel so much more alive to me. Like they give us a story for the Pancakes in their household description but you play as them and their relationship is totally fine but I think having a scenerio built in like from the scenerios tab where you have a choice to fix their relationship or break them up and start anew so that the game actually feels like there is lore going on without it just being “bob and Eliza adopted 4 kids and 2 horses”

Couldn’t agree more with your points, and it’s so refreshing to hear someone be honest about the issues within the Simming community as most aren’t brave enough. The bullying/discrimination/extreme wokeness/hypocrisy has been an issue for a while in our community but let’s be honest it also extends far beyond it and basically defines many/most parts of the internet. To the point that, if we narrow it down to the Simming community, we see people getting bullied and hated and downvoted to hell for daring to voice a different opinion even without being hateful - go see The Sims/Sims 4 subreddits for example. It’s got to the point now where I’m just so frustrated by EA and the community in general that other than watching a select few KZbinrs play Sims I just don’t get involved in the online side of it anymore. And I’m just playing Sims 2 & Sims 3 for the moment.

I agree with your opinions! One unpopular opinion I have is I don't CARE about making Babies in the Sims more interactive... like, they're babies. They're annoying, they cry, they need to be changed. I don't see why or how you need to improve on that aspect... most of us just age them up to toddlers right away anyway.

I just realized when you said there are no goals in TS4 that we don't have skill challenges like in TS3. When I master a skill, no townie calls me to ask for 10 vegetables or come play an instrument at an event. The closest we get is odd jobs that come with a pack but it's not the same at all...

I LOVE the parenthood pack, but tbh most of that should've been base game, parenting interactions should not be behind a pay wall knowing most people do family game play. The stuff I liked about DHD were just the build buy objects, I thought and hoped that because I love to build most that it would help me actually play the game more....but it didn't 🤷‍♀️ I agree with you, while still enjoying the aspects of those packs 😅

Love your accent.... Oh no. I would loathe having my game scripted. I had my favorite Sims couple renew their vows in Tartosa. It was after they fixed My Wedding Stories, so all went well with no problems. I couldn't imagine the game telling me how to marry my Sims... I married them the way I wanted the ceremony to go. And it was incredibly romantic from beginning to end. For me personally, I prefer the way the game os now. Allowing us to progress our Sims the way that we choose. It takes more imagination this way, and I have a LOT of it!

List of the features that should have been base game but are not- -weather (is the Evil Arts literally making me pay for BLOODY RAIN?) -high school -cats and dogs (5 dollars for hamsters, snakes, turtles etc.) -the whole parenthood pack -sims being actually smart -dream home decorator (are we really paying for something that can be done through build/buy?) -my wedding nightmare- I mean stories -sims doing what they are told to do (for example - sit) - wants and fears (some might argue- "but we already have those"- no, we don't. those are sorry ass excuses for what we want our game play to truly be) -more clothes for masculine sims -burglars -burglars alarm -actions having consequences -more endearing gameplay overall (sims 4 is literally dead) -more traits&trait slots -sims acting upon their traits spontaneously and sims having some sort of preferences in dating other sims - feeling attraction to other sims - for example, when sim is a hopeless romantic they will always fall in love at first sight and deal badly with break up compared to other sims -speaking of dates- NOT ELIZA FRICKING PANCAKES SITTING AT MY TABLE WHEN I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF A FRICKING DATE, thank you -the randomness ...and it goes on

Dude, I like the parenthood pack I think it's good. You are bringing up valid points. I had to pay for adult sims to be adults to their children. Like you're not wrong. I have to pay for my sims to be teenagers and sneak out. Like you are right. I'm tired of EA and their BS. Still refusing to update until they fix the game aging up process cause toddlers are still bugged the last time I checked the notes. Not fair for some people to be able to play and others can. My Wedding and most of the kits are the only packs I've not bought. I don't want to buy a broken pack even if the build and cas assets are amazing. On the other hand i do usually buy packs even if I only like one or two of the build assets. But with my wedding its a whole lot different. I refuse to give money in that case. With the kits I've just not seen much I like enough to pay a fiver for when on pc you pay the same price for a cc with a lot more worth, quantity and quality wise. I do have industrial lift and Decor to the max because I love their styles
