A few years ago, I once ran into a couple of fellas in the Hot Springs, NC, area doing an attempt of a AT thru hike who were using two cars. They would park at opposite ends of different trail heads and hike 3 or 4 days at opposite points, one heading NOBO, the other SOBO. They would pass off the car keys to each other when they would cross on the trail. They used their cars as re-supply points and stored extra gear and clothes.

She's back! 😊 Seeing your heart full as you took in the sunset made my day. You said something that we all need to live by...prioritizing moments in nature. 👏 Here's a little gas money for your leapfrog hiking plans. Welcome home Nyx. ✌️

LOL . . . you said don’t throw shade just as I thought . . . Hmmmm is she cooking in the back of the car!! What a gorgeous sunset 🌅. Love that your plan is coming together and that you are taking the time to acclimatize before starting your next section. Nice to see you back smiling and getting your confidence back. Stay safe and let’s see what tomorrow brings.

Last year we followed a Sobo on the AT who had a similar plan, although hers was a little easier because her husband was supporting her so she didn't have to hitch. It worked out great for her and she successfully completed the trail. So I think it's doable, just maybe a bit complicated in the logistics.

Stella, I just found your chat video explaining the Heliconia story. I wondered what happened. So, back to Stella Hikes. You have great potential to grow this channel with your feminine perspective. Personally, I am less interested in mega thru hikes than shorter interesting place hikes, but it's up to you. Most of your viewers will never be able to tackle the At, but will hike portions along with other weekend length adventures. What ever you decide please stop doubting yourself. You can make this channel anything you want.

Good plan safe plan Stella 👍 the important it that you really enjoy your path and take the time to see all the beautiful things around you fill your heart and soul with good energy and peaceful vibe like right now I think there different ways to do hiking and walk everybody can choose the comfortable way to do it for themselves and for the mental health and their body don't like to see you struggle and feeling sick it is stressful prefer to you happy and smiley take very good care of you and stay safe and healthy your Mac cheese was looking good 😋 😅 💚

Your intro music nostalgically set the tone for the next adventure. Now, what could make this better? A hound dog for a trail companion? Perhaps.

Altitude is a thing. My GF recently returned from AK and we were just hiking in and around the Foothills trail for a couple of weeks & she definitely felt it and we were only around 6000'. But thats a lot when you are used to 0'.

You won't get shade from me. My Outback is built out for car camping and I often cook in the back.
