It starts to lack its luster after 3-4 months. If you want it to last don't wear it in the rain, shower or bath especially if your work out and sweat. The part that's on your skin starts to fade first. Keep this chain away from humidity.

Mine still shinny but I don’t shower, exercise or sleep with it, I also keep it on a jewelry case. I have wear it to pools and the beach. To clean it I use warm water and clear soap.

@eliascrankster155 he does use water. He said pool an beach.. an he cleans it. He just ment that he doesn't shower or over use it... pretty much what i would do if i got the chain. I would wear it when I go out .. never in a pool or working out.. or in the shower. I think it will last longer if you treat it w care

I’d say if you wear it to workout the sweat might have done that. But you can probably try a polish and see if you can get some of the shine back.

I hope you did this for content purchases only lol. You aren't supposed to wear plated stuff in water/working out conditions. If it's been 2 years though that's pretty good condition all things considered.

I had one before I bought a real one, so what I did with the Jaxon one was took it a jeweler and polished it to the silver base metal an it looks good

Pay like $75 down walk out with a real chain an pay them weekly till it's paid off.... I did that with my 5mm 10k 24" Miami Cuban and my 7mm 10k Miami Cuban bracelet both hand made by Gold Miner jewelry in Kissimmee FL. paid 75 down for chain and 75 down for bracelet an walked out with it an paid it off with in 90days

I have a 10mm chain in silver and ibe worn it daiky for the past 2 years and it still looks great .. lil polidh here snd there and still pooks great . My gokd one i only wear on weekends and sfter a year it still looks great . I definitely think yhey are worth every penny and i will be buying more .

I got mine 1 year ago. Never take it off, I exercise, shower, work, and sleep in it. And it is extremely faded. I’m considering buying another to wear when I go out, and just using my current one as a daily beater. I have the 22” Cuban link. Hope this helps somebody make a decision!

Plating is only microns thick. Wearing in shower or other areas wont accelerate the wear. Its the acidic condition of the skin that wear it off. Dont floss with a fake chain. Grind until you can afford one for real.

Lol what do you mean a real one? It’s sterling silver plated in rhodium. Are you referring to white gold? That’s gold plated in rhodium? Or are you referring to a chain that’s nickel based. Jaxxon chains are sterling silver coated in rhodium.

Not really, I have had a sterling silver one for 2 years now and I’ve probably cleaned it with jewelry cleaner 2-3 times since and it still looks new

Yea this def is fake. I looked up jaxxon jewelry, they use real gold to plate their sterling silver chains. It's vermeil. Meaning it isn't regular plating.

@tracer073 Yes. If I'm correct, vermeil is a small amount of real gold plated over a sterling silver chain. If I'm correct. I think it's true because I compare my jaxxon chain to a real 14k gold chain and the color matched. I also have a stainless steel gold plated chain, and the chain was much darker than the actual gold. I also have my jaxxon chain on for 6 months without taking it off, and it still looks the same. I worked in it, I worked out in it, and no fading. Even at the clasp area. None. That's why I think these reviews are fake

Anything that is played or bonded will fade out no matter how well ypu keep it. Thier ads are such lies "never fade". Plated fades, it's a thin coat on top of a base metal.
