Ya I have that semi as my prediction, with Denmark in the final. After their writeoff match against Finland, Denmark have been really impressive imo. Very unlucky to lose against Belgium and the hammering of Russia shows the quality they have. I think Sweden vs Ukraine will be close but Sweden should be able to make it out, and then I have them playing England in the quarters. Something tells me that a combination of English complacency against a well organized side (think Scotland in the groups) + the lack of a home crowd for England will mean that they bottle it against the Swedes who will be up for revenge after the WC.

My predictions and thoughts: Belgium vs Portugal Belgium I pick Belgium to go through here. On terms of quality both are very similar, but I'm backing Belgium to just edge this. Portugal have been very inconsistent in defence, conceding 6 goals to France and Germany. I think Lukaku will be on top form for this match and score twice to make a narrow 2-1 victory for Belgium. EDIT: Result Correct, Score nearly correct Italy vs Austria Italy This is fairly straight-forward. Italy are on fire. The hype they are getting is honestly a bit too much. The opponents in their group for the most part had lack-luster defence and performances as a whole. I think Austria are on the same level of quality as the Swiss and Wales, so I think Italy will beat them 2-0. EDIT: Result Correct, Score nearly correct France vs Switzerland France This match is somewhat straight-forward. I was going to go with a shock result here, but I just can't see the Swiss doing anything against the French. This match will be very narrow, I'm saying 1-0 France. Croatia vs Spain Croatia/Spain My choice is Croatia Oh wow. This will be one of the tightest games yet. Firstly, we have Spain. Spain have been one of the most inconsistent and boring teams at the tournament so far. Their first two games were some of the most unattractive football they have ever played in recent times. After drawing their first two, they took their anger out on poor Slovakia. This 5-0 win in Sevilles can give them really good momentum, and one way it could go is Spain using this momentum and giving it all they've got against Croatia, like in 2018 where they won 6-0. Option one (SPAIN FAVOUR) Spain 3-0 Croatia The next scenario is if Spain revert to their ways of boring football, and let the Croats really get in and push them. Croatia had a great performance against Scotland, however are very inconsistent otherwise. Croatia could push this to extra time and win 1-0 or 2-1. Option two (CROATIA FAVOUR) Spain 0-1/1-2 Croatia Sweden vs Ukraine Sweden This is another hard one to predict. Sweden are the best defenders at the tournament so far alongside Italy and Belgium. Sweden's attack is somewhat mediocre. If Isak gets a chance, he will pounce. Ukraine are unpredictable. If Sweden go 1-0 down, they will try for a goal, thus giving them defensive gaps causing them to concede again. I'm gonna say Sweden 1-0 Ukraine. Netherlands vs Czech Republic Czech Republic This is pretty ballsy. I have reasons. Frank de Boer is a weak coach and doesn't have much control over his players. The Czech's have been on pretty decent form lately, only narrowly losing to England, outclassing Scotland, and putting in a solid performance against Croatia. I am bias towards the Dutch since I want to see them do well, but I'm gonna use my shock card here and say 1-2 to the Czech's. EDIT: NO WAY I GOT IT CORRECT, score nearly right, but RESULT CORRECT England vs Germany Germany I don't fancy England so far at this tournament. Three pretty mediocre performances. They can defend well, but against Germany, honestly I think that they will lose 0-1. Germany have a shaky defence, but I think with the current state of the team and their attack they will squeak it out. 0-1 Germany.

I know it's 3 days later but i only just saw this now, and honestly, lots of your predictions were bang on, but if you saw the tenacity in which Denmark played againts Belgium and Russia, how could you even question that Wales were in for a trashing? Belgium didn't beat Denmark in that match, they were being bombarded and were holding on for dear life, QUALITY performance on their part for not surrendering and holding firm, but under such a siege, and i dare say they were EXTREMELY lucky to win. And would have been lucky to draw aswell. It was the same againts Finland, despite the horrible incident with CE10, which shook the nation aswell as the national team beyond measure. @@deron19 He has, but I think it’s a product of the system he’s in as he’s not allowed to roam as much, and had to drop back most of the time to defend since Portugal had poor possession

@@deron19 Palhinha is a CDM, Sanches is a CM and Bruno is a CAM. All three of them can start together. I can understand Sanches challenging Bruno's spot because he can play CAM too. But really dude? Palhinha? Whether he starts or not has nothing to do with Bruno's chances to start, they play completely different positions fyi.
