Kaprizov - Malkin - Kucherov Panarin - Kuznetsov - Svechnikov (Would have Val here but Svech and Kuz have experience together) Ovechkin - Buchnevich - Nichushkin (Moved Buchnevich to center cause he's one of the more defensively responsible wingers and Russia has 0 center depth) Michkov - Namestnikov - Kuzmenko (You could tell me Dadonov instead of Kuzmenko, having offense oriented players like Michkov and Kuzmenko balances out that line more) Orlov - Sergachev Mintyukov - Kulikov Gavrikov - Zadorov (This pair could be swapped with the second arguably, I'm very high on Mintyukov and Gavrikov pairs nicely with Zadorov IMO) Shesterkin Sorokin (Third can be which ever of the 10 other good Russian goalies are hot at the moment) Defense is definitely their weakest position followed by center, in typical Russian fashion they have hands down the best goalie depth and contend for best winger depth as well.

Brady Tkachuk should be higher up in the lineup, yes he is physical but lead team USA in a captain role with 13 points in 8 last year and has 15PTS in 11 GP this year for the Sens would love to see both Tkachuk brothers on the same line with someone like Jack Hughes centring them the chemistry would be electric.

Disagree on Connor's defensive game lacking. He's been very active on the back check for the Jets. He's such a good skater he can bail a team out from some nasty situations. He has even been playing on the PK for a bit.

It's so funny to watch how people from other countries always doubt that Finland's roster is the weakest overall. Yeah they might not have big names by name value, but 4 nations is short tournament and not that much time to gel as roster. After all most of the players that make it to the team knows each other/played in same roster or plays in the sae team right now. Luostarinen-Lundell same line right now, Barkov-Laine same hometown and played in the same line in nationa team, Lehkonen-Rantanen, Puljujärvi-Aho-Laine, Jokiharju in the first D pairing with Dahlin in Buffalo, Hakanpää maybe also in 4 nations, Annunen might make it as 3rd goalie, Tuomo Ruutu is assistant coach in 4 nations by the way and so on. The biggest strength why Finland plays well in short tournaments is teamplay, everyone knows their role, solid goalies and good coaching etc. just saying.

Hear me out Canadas centres being 1st McDavid 2nd Mackinnon 3rd Crosby 4th Suzuki (he had 77 points playinh Selke level defense with Broken Scoring Caufield and Baby Slafkovsky. This season he currently has 13 points in 12 games with Montreals weaker offense. He is alao a Captain and a very smart and mature player. Call me bias but at that 4th line centre on that stacked Canada centre core and playing PK, Nick Suzuki would do extremely well and I could see him being that guy to score a big goal in a depth role. Also ik people wanna see Crosby and Mackinnon on a line but both are so good as centres and would make Canadas depth insane.

I honestly would go with Wilson over Strome, both very good defensively, but Wilson is much more versatile, very good on the PK unlike Strome who doesn’t play it, can play on the PP as the net front presence and a bumper guy, is faster and a lot more physical, can start his team with a fight. He’s a better bottom 6 fit

Same here. As a USA fan, I'd be happy if they won it. But, would that mean they are the best team in the World? No...I don't think so. Without Russia there, it all seems a bit phony. Czechia, Slovakia and others missing, too. The winner gets an asterisk, imo. It's just a gimmick tourney. Playing and winning a series is the only way to determine a true champion. Obviously not feasible for an international tournament. Any country can win in a one-off format. Doesn't tell us much.
