Yeah if this is our team, this might be the worst team we’ve iced. No Morrissey or Theodore is crazy. Also Hyman Marchand and Reinhart in the top 6? Oh no. This is looking like that cup that happens during the playoffs that the players who didn’t make the playoffs play in, if they even feel like it. Edit: just checked. Hyman has 4 points in 13 games this year. Might as well put Reaves on the first line

I'd have him as an extra mostly because I think he'd have to be in my top 6 to get the most use out of him, I don't trust him as much as a pure 4th liner, but we'll see!

Brodin not being on the Sweden team is the one thing I disagree with. Just because he isn’t flashy doesn’t mean he’s not a top end defenseman for Sweden. He’s constantly underrated

I really like the concept of the Tkachuk, Matthews, Tkachuk line. What a nightmare for the opposing team to deal with. Matthews shot and 2 gritty Tkachuk brothers hitting everything in sight. If either Florida or Ottawa could find some way to make a trade to unite both Tkachuks that would be awesome.

I think Travis Konecny is knocking on the door. He is having a better year than quite a few of the guys on team Canada. It’s a shame Russia doesn’t have a team. The NHL shouldn’t be punishing players because what their respective Gov’t is doing on the world stage. God knows I love my country, but the US would barely play in The Olympics and these sort of tournaments if we play that game.

I think people are underrating Robert Thomas pretty heavily here. One of the best playmaker Canada has to offer with decent defensive metrics. I think Thomas brings a more unique skill set than someone like Scheifele

I know this was 13 days ago, Sanheim has really turned a corner. He has been really good this year. He has logged 30+mins 3-5 times, I wouldn’t worry about Sanheim, does anyone play goalie in Canada anymore? That’s what I’d be worrying about.

I have brodin with hedman. Or Ekman-larsson. And also forsling with dahlin since dahlin is totally lost in his own zone at times. I need balance. And ekholm and andersson as 3rd pair. Karlsson is an extra at best. Have no idea why sweden choose 3 defensemen as their first 6 knowing damn well how many defensemen sweden can choose from

Carlson is better in every way than Trouba. Miller is a force on the ice and better than half the players on the US roster, even more so than Larkin and Trocheck. There's no way I put Caufield in over Kane, he's way too easy to out muscle off the puck by elite players on the opposing team, and both Kane and Carlson have the experience of being in the trenches over the last decade or so.

of ALL the proposed Canadian rosters i've seen... everyone is stacking only skill players, and that never works. Tom Wilson 100% should be on this team. Power forward, can open the ice for people. Elite penalty killer. You can't bring all skill, you need some real bite to win. With how bad Canadas goaltending will be, you'll need some threatening presence on the team to keep people from crashing the net hard.
