I’m in the process of waiting for my Army board interview for OCS and man your videos have been all I’ve been watching for the past few months. Thank you for these.

I'm on the same boat too. When is your board interview? My recruiter said that mine will be somewhere between June 10-14. And how is your packet coming along? I just need to do an OPAT and fill out my SF-86 (hope its not too bad)

@@Mightyduck7993 my interview is May 3rd and my packet got submitted once already and it came back good except my bmi was at 26% and it has to be 22% or lower for OCS so I’ve been working out and running getting it down and I’m currently scheduled to go back to MEPS to get remeasured next week. I have until April 26th to get it down but I’m wanting to get it done asap.

@@lamontmorgan99 How long did it take you to get your packet reviewed? Especially stuff like your essay and SF-86 form? Also, good luck when you go back to MEPS, I hate that place. The suspense I felt that entire day was way worse than those rude civilian workers with the god complex. I was lucky that I didn’t get hard DQed for a (recently) sprained ankle that showed up on Genesis. My recruiter told me that my waivers for eczema and eyesight were approved without needing to see consults like we originally thought.

@@Mightyduck7993 I started my recruitment process Jan 10 of this year when I actually spoke to my recruiter and we began my course of action pursuing OCS. She was already on the ball and had me do my security clearance as part of everything we submitted in my packet which we got everything g submitted before the Southern California deadline of Feb 1st. Not sure if everyone nationwide had the same deadline but Feb 1 was when packet had to be in so I literally was at MEPS the first time quick like Jan 23-24th got everything done and I knocked my essay out no problem. The letters of rec took the longest for my professors and others to get back to me but I submitted my full packet Feb 1. Got the news back Feb 7 that I was all good except for the BMI and needed to re-submit next window for board interviews which for me isn’t until May 3rd with packet re-submit due April 26th. So that’s where I’m at rn just getting the BMI re tape done at MEPS and fingerprinting come next week March the 27th.

@@Mightyduck7993 Hey so my packet only took like 3 weeks to build from the time I first sat down with my recruiter to the time we sent it off. The due date was February 1st and I had walked into their office on January 10th. I had a security clearance phone interview January 26th which was cleared and we submitted my packet literally on Feb 1st. One week later exactly was when I got word my paperwork all checked out good but my packet was only approved contingetly upon my bmi dropping to 22 prior to my board interview of May 5th. However! Since then I got another update on March 25th that the Army had reached their quota for civilian OCS applicants by over 70% and the wait was gonna be a year before I could actually have an acceptance with a date to begin school. (Assuming I passed my board) So I opted to enlist as an E-4 25H instead so I can spend this year getting basic done, AIT done, and experience at a duty station (signal was always a top option for me to branch as) The army will say you have to have 2 years of time in service to apply to OCS as an enlisted member but I’ve spoke to officers who waited a year or year and change and then got a waiver for the time in service and submitted their enlisted packet for OCS and got approved. I go to basic in 12 days and although it will still be real time of about 1.5-2 years before I even start OCS I’ll be more prepared for it, understand the army and how it works, and won’t have to get in better shape to have my packet fully approved. (Just gotta get pt scores, do some military education, be squared away, communicate my intentions for OCS with my CoC and more or less be patient and I’ll be good to go)

I'm applying to join the Army as an 09S. I learned in a matter of weeks that the OCS route takes a lot longer to process than the enlisted route. I have my board interview in June, and I'm currently working on my SF-86 form as a part of my OCS packet. I was wondering what would happen if I were to fail by some fluke. (I want to be a 35A in the Army). Also, I'm glad to know that if I were to get kicked out from failing an event twice, that I could still pick whatever MOS I want for AIT. (If I somehow fail OCS, my backup plan is just to stay in the Army as a 35F in the E-4 mafia). (I want to get into the 35 jobs because I want to work for the NSA in the future).

In general, First time no go's would be history (if its written and not multiple choices) for ladies the 4 mile run. Males would be SOP violations (conduct and rules). Just depends on the company she is in
