私がこの2機種を使う際の普段使いのハイゲインサウンドを紹介。GT1000C、FM3ともに、一般的なハイゲインバッキングサウンドを表現するよう作っていて、同じ弾き方をすれば同じ効果が出力されるよう作ってはいるものの、ここまで歪ませるとMDPの影響が強すぎて弾き方も変えざるを得ない状況。Xアルゴがあらゆる事を裏で自動的にやってくれてしまうので、このデモ撮影中も頭の中では感覚を切替えて弾いている。
GT1000C
アンプモデル「X-HI GAIN」を選択、DS1XをAIRD化したものと思われる。動画最前部にてアンプ前段に歪み補助としてBD2をオンしている。そもそもMDPは実機では有り得ない音表現をするのだけど、深い歪みとしたことでより顕著となる。後半で巻弦強打で白玉、直後ソフトに弾いたプレーン弦単音白玉を入力している部分があるが、前者は強入力で歪み、後者は弱入力で比較的クリーンに表現した上、これらを「聴感上同音量」にまとめて出力してくる。本来ギター二人で分業すべきフレーズかもしれないが、熟練のPA二人が、巻弦班とプレーン弦班に別れて、各々手コンプしてくれてる感覚。（←これ分かる人おるんか？）　加えて全くノイズがない。MDP登場から10年位経つが、この世界観には未だに驚くし、ちょっと弾いてたらこの楽さに慣れてしまう人の堕落性をも教えてくれる。
FM3など忠実系シミュと比べれば、人工デジタル加工が過ぎて不自然だと改めて思うし、このBOSSの理想とするサウンドベクトルが合わない人がMDPを毛嫌いするのも解るが、動画中フロントPUを選択した時の音ヌケ感、これぞMDP効果の代表的なものだが、この便利さを知ってしまうとね、MDP、脅威のアルゴリズム。
FM3
アンプモデル「Diezel VH4」を選択。キャビはDynaCabsの「4x12 Recto Straight」を使用。このキャビ特有のこもった感じとかすごくリアル。周波数、上も下も大量放出され迫力十分な音を楽しめる。このプリセットにはお気に入りハイゲインアンプ4台が立ち上がっているので、動画最後尾では他3機へ切替えている。今回は比較的低ノイズのDiezelをメインとした。
Splawn Quickrod と　Friedman BE の改造マーシャル系はちょっとノイズが多い。
5150はFM3内でも最も歪むモデリングの一つだと思うが、ちょっと音の輪郭も崩れる感じでダーティなかっこよさ。反面、Diezelはドイツらしいカッチリとした印象を私個人は抱いている。

I think the difference is the 32bit D/A signal path on the Boss compared to the standard 24bit digital audio. I chose the GT1000 Core myself and I love it. I think it's the most useful tool in a guitarists tool box. Perfect recording tool and great for learning songs in the home studio.

Don't know why but Boss sounds like a turned up raw amp and FM3 like a digital toy. Wasn't expecting this ;) Great playing!

Great demo. How do you compare them both? I really like my GT1000 but a lot says that Fractal is the real deal. I think the GT new upgrades nailed high gain tones

Thanks for watching this video! GT1000 is what the boss thinks is the latest guitar sound, and I don't think it's important to resemble the real model, whereas the Fractal tries to faithfully reproduce the real model. So I don't think we can say which is better or worse.
