Hello, a question where is persona and user story or journey?They are very important for presentation, no?
@UXDesire7 ай бұрын
It didn't explain how everything came together in the design process and the discovery of what was user-centered. This makes it complex, just seeing everything finished and narrated as a success story.

This was very helpful. Can you make a video presenting this to us ?

Hello! Thank you for sharing this. I have a question. I have a 1 hour portfolio review soon and I plan on presenting two case studies. Is it necessary to display About Me, my philosophy slides, or should I just go right into the case studies?
@furquan1012 жыл бұрын
Nothing is mandatory in a portfolio presentation - but there's strongly advised things to do, having an "About me" section will make you come across a lot more relatable and human in the interview process, which can help a lot! Design philosophy just adds an interesting angle to your presentation

@@furquan101 thanks for your advice, I took it :,) and I got the job

Could the portfolio be shorter and less detailed? My recent extremely interesting projects are still ongoing so I can't show any business impact yet. I'm left only with just the process and main principles behind the strategy and I'm afraid that's not enough to get the job 😢
@furquan101 Жыл бұрын
Yeah it can be shorter and less detailed, as in the main interview that's where you get the chance to dive into your work

Hey Furquan, thank you for sharing your UX Portfolio case study! Assuming that the UX Portfolio Presentation is 60 minutes, did you manage to present all the slides in that period? Thank you.
@furquan101 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it was less than that it was 45 minutes as you have to leave time for questions, and it's really important that you do this part.

Hey, You can send a Figma file to recruiters, however it's super important to have an online presence and portfolio to make it easier for recruiters to contact you for opportunities!

is it true ux designers have to do meeting and presentations? I like the work but i dont like socializing with people, is this the right fit for me?
@furquan1012 жыл бұрын
Yeah, a key part of being a designer is managing stakeholder expectations and getting cross-functional alignment on your designs. I wouldn't consider it socialising with people. Maybe find a remote role can help?
