Congrats on the position and thank you for the work you do. If you are still on second sig. work the hard claims first, Parkinson's, PTSD & TBI combined, any SMC's like R-1 and R2. Also, the COPD, Asthma etc. that you have to figure out the PFT test. The hearing loss and tinnitus claims are easy, learn those too, so when you need to make some quick points. Two thing I have learned from this video. 1) VA is NOT your friend and 2) despite "A Duty to Assist" the system is rigged against the veteran. If someone with your expertise and experience struggles navigating the VA mine field the rest of us stand ZERO chance. Thanks for another excellent and educational video.

I can't believe what I'm hearing. My father died and was never service connected and he was in the Korea war he had PTSD for oner 50 years he got denied and did not know he could appeal

@@DewayneKimble a I like to thank you because you the first organization that was to get my husband any benefits which brought which brought his benefits up however after learning more what he could file for his illness required most of our attention then he made his transition the. Dic was denied I have secure professional assistance however after learning about the fact that I have been told they would not represent Me with the Pact Act I need to know what information I need to request besides the C-file and which I already have I need to know it's now being accepted as a substitute claimant can I submit additional claims

This sounds a lot like what I am going through (4 years, 5 claims). I have had C &P s where I was deemed SC yet the VA person denied the claim citing irrelevant regulations to my situation. Had 1 where the examiner told me I had worst bunions she ever saw and talked to me about plantar fasciitis yet C & P didn t show any of this. You have to fight so hard cor every favorable rating. Why don t VA exec take more pride in hiring quality people???

Same thing happened to me but, complained about my C&P exam and call Va they give 30% I complained 2 days after my exam. That is important complain before give you a bad C&P exam

Well your teaching me so much, can I hire you and keep my lawyer too? I been at this about 14 months and only got 10% for ear ringing, so what 2nd do I file for my cluster headaches and been under treatment for over 35yrs and on pain meds and can’t work from a spine injury that cost me 20 spine surgeries and knee surgery that was injured in basic and I was just denied ptsd, but my Dr gave it to me on the diagnosis, so I’m waiting on the paperwork, for my lawyer, im also working on sleep apnea, because I been under treatment for 30yrs, but the meds don’t like they used too? I had shine spinrints, spell wrong, but it was from my back hurting, I did the same thing u did, I asked for a medical clearance before I go home oh my CO said that will take you 6 months? So they really lied their ass off back in the 70s lol

Thanks for putting this video out! I got denied for Migraine but it’s in my medical record I’m planning on sending 20-0995 supplemental claim. On the form 17C, 18A- 18C is it required for VSO or rep to have that section signed? Thank you in advance

I heard you talking about "sending in too many medical records 🤔 " When I got my letter to send in medical records, there was no time frame listed by va. VA needs to be more clear on that in their request for records. My letter said we need records from a, b and c. So they got all the records from a, b and c. Just a thought. I think people are smart enough to follow instructions. If VA isn't specific about which records they want and they don't put that in the request, how are records departments supposed to know this? VA has to do better.

Thats the trouble that I've found with the VA. Everything is a damn guessing game or a stupid science project. There's a learning curve that you need to start learning way before you file a claim. That's the way it's been since I filed mine. "tricks of the trade" or "strategies". Gimme a damn break! The very damn organization that's supposed to protect us is our adversary. I read that stupid preamble about helping the veteran and making sure they get the benefits they earned and you end up with some turkey handling your case who doesn't know his butt from a hole in the ground.

No one can tell you what each rater looks at. I can tell what I looked at as a rater and the guidelines I had to follow. I have videos where I'm discussing that some VA employees are refusing to use vets DBQs from private doctors.

The VA has matrices on their website when it comes to backlog but I haven't seen anything the number of claims that are denied. I filled claim for hearing loss and was turned down im 71 years old I served in the navy on board a ship the I was water hoses on deck so the captain could fire 5 in. Guns while I was standing about 4ft from the Mosel of it when it was fired the told me if been any closer it would killed from just blast the gun when it was fired while it fired 2 times before get in from danger I was the only that working on it both ear drums was completely blewed out the ships doctor put 30 days on lit duty that was it and I had hearing test just recently for im 50% in both ears can't hear and got turned down

After you submitted your FOIA request for you VBA claims folder, reviewed the C & P exam, did you confirm why the examiner provided a negative opinion.

Thanks for the great content. Question for you. Is it possible to win VA claims without a medical nexus letter written from a doctor. I have talk to people that say its possible to win claims with medical facts based reports as it pertains to the va disability. Can that be as strong as a doctors letter? When you first started filling claims did you get medical nexus letters or did you rely on the good faith of the c and p examiners. Thanks

My first claim, I had no treatment from the VA and a couple of pages of a PT report. The question is, what are you claiming and where does it fall under the 5 ways of service connection. The research starts there.
