I miss Miss Phyllis and her tutorials....but thankfully she made so many. Now I look and find ones that I've not watched. It's almost like she's still here and still posting. I truly love peanut butter, so I'm sure this is a winning recipe. (for those that like peanuts.) x Long live the memory of our Miss Phyllis. X

I really miss my daily visits with Ms Phyllis & Mr. Bucky! Thank you Connell for continuing their legacy going. They were my personal friends I never met. We had many days of coffee and conversation, right at my kitchen table. The "Real Life" stories ,recipes & cooking,, shopping, walks, pets, and mountain visits.... we all went together. Missing my friends, now they are on their forever journey. Connell, thank you, I so enjoy your family journey adventures.

Well over the last few day I have watched all 36 of your desert video's while it has poured rain outside. I just enjoyed them thoroughly. I have always cooked and baked from scratch and I just loved watching you do the same. It was just like being in the kitchen with my mom and Aunts, lots of memories came back. Thank you so much for sharing your time, tips and humor.

I made this last night. It was very delish! The only thing was I didn't have any milk chocolate for the topping so I used semi sweet. That was a mistake definitely need the milk chocolate. I ended up scraping that part off. Thanks for the great recipe! Going to freeze the rest as you suggested and pulling a slice out here and there.

I'm so glad you made your own whipped cream.....I don't like Cool Whip either.....it, along with soft serve ice cream, give me heartburn......I read on the package and they are made from soybean oil.....I don't think soybeans in any fashion are good for you. I will try your peanut butter pie....it looks very yummy!!!! And....knowing that the whipped cream is all cream is the biggest plus!!! Love your "from scratch" cooking!!!!

I made this pie. What really set off the recipe was the dry roasted peanuts! That bit of salt is what that rich pie needed, I had used regular salted peanuts before in other recipes, but it's not the same! Everyone should try this recipe! Thank you so much!... the only think I didn't have was the nuts, so I ran to the DG store for them. Who knew those Clover Valley peanuts would be so tasty?

Ms. Phyllis , I am trying my first peanut butter pie . However , I grabbed a ready made crust from the store. I put the cream in the freezer and forgot it so I had to thaw in the microwave. It still worked other than the whipping cream and the crust , I had everything on hand. After watching you demonstrate it several times , I felt qualified , if not compelled to try. My pie is in the freezer. Not as pretty as yours ,but i think Mr. Jerry will like it . I plan to serve it to him for his mid - morning snack tomorrow . thank you for sharing your wisdom , your stories , and your precious Mr. Bucky with us , dear heart . I know your loss is great , but the LORD is with you! Peace. your friend Gina

That looks wonderfully scrummy! I make one similar to that, only I use a regular cooked peanut pie filling and a premade oreo crust. I've always used the cool-whip, but this looks so much better that I will do it your way next time. I do love a peanut butter pie with a cooked filling and meringue, though. Really good either way!

I've been planning to make those buttery tartlets of yours for a few days. Still haven't done so yet because I was trying to think of a good filling for them. However, I made a custard pie last night that had to be "improved" with whipped cream and fruit to have for brunch today. I made my whipped cream much like yours, except I used just a couple tablespoons of sugar. I was sitting here thinking I need to use that whipped cream in something tomorrow because it has been tempting me to eat it all day. (Nevermind the fact that I gave in and had a little custard with a heap of whipped cream just a few minutes ago!) Homemade is definitely the BEST. I have an excess of peanut butter and have spent most of the day looking up peanut butter pie recipes. Most of them seem to have a chocolate crust and chocolate topping. I've almost decided I'd like to make it with vegan whipped cream for something different. (Made with coconut milk or coconut cream.) And then using Keebler's pecan sandies for the crust. Then drizzling caramel and chopped pecans on the top. Because I LOVE pecans, in case you couldn't tell. Sound good? I'll let you know how it tastes. But I'm probably going to be dreaming about your peanut butter pie until I get mine made. You really had me nearly falling over when you tasted it and said you weren't going to tell us how good it is. My imagination took over then and that's when I had to pause the video and have some custard drowned in whipped cream. If I make a double batch of that peanut butter filling, I could have enough for a pie and filling up some of those tartlets for taking to friends.
