My video appeal against YouTube's 'reused content' decision.

If a channel gets demonetised now, the creator has an option to send a 'video appeal' within 14 days, as to attempt to fight their case for why they should keep their monetisation after all. The video has to be below five minutes long, and must include a list of things for KZbin to consider reinstating the channels ads, (including proving the content is yours, how you make it, the link to the channel, and so on) so it isn't exactly an... easy video to make properly This was something I had to do last year, and this is the (quickly rejected) video I sent off.

This happened to me last week, demonetized due to "reused content". All the content on my channel is 100 percent my own work. I did the appeal and was unsuccessful. They claim that they cannot determine whether my videos are mine or of somebody else's.

Did you ever end up getting monetized? I won my appeal but I went down the list of what’s allowed and not allowed. And I showed my editing, that’s missing from you. They want to see you don’t just use AI or something. Compilations seem like they’re not allowed at all.

When I first got the monetisation taken away from the channel, the option for this appeal came up in my KZbin Studio under the 'Monetisation' tab. I only had a deadline of a couple weeks I believe. I had no idea it existed until it happened to me, guess it's a bit of a better option than just a short tweet to Team KZbin

I don't think intentionally, might have slipped out under my breath. Either way, the appeal was about "stolen" content and not anything to do with explicit content or whatever so it shouldn't have made a difference, but i wouldn't be too surprised if it did unfortunately
