I think one of the most underrated techniques is using the ronin for pans and tilts. before I had a nice fluid head I would just mount the ronin and away it went. the motors are smooth enough that the starts and stops arent too jittery at all. I wish they would let us dial in ease ins/out speed. ive even used it to do motion control programming waypoints. also have a pretty long slider and will mount the ronin on it so I can have a push in while doing pan tilts.

Didn`t understand the titel because of the content to this episode. At all, you explaining basic camera moves and you explained it very well. If the title was "basic camera moves, you need to know", I´ld found it way faster.
@SamHolland2 жыл бұрын
Hey. Thanks for watching. That’s the problem with KZbin. If I did title it that way, you probably wouldn’t have found it because I’d be in competition with everyone else who named it that, plus it’s not as intriguing. I know what you mean though

Yet another really great video from you. Thank you so much. I noticed that you have the Zeapon motorized slider. I looked at it about a year ago and the iFootage Shark Slider Nano. How do you like it? I was not sure if the investment would be worth it, since it is not that long for a slider.
@SamHolland2 жыл бұрын
Hi. Thank you 🙏🏻 I’m pleased you like the videos. I really like the Zeapon slider. There’s a new version now but I haven’t managed to get hold of it yet as there’s been a problem with shipping dates. I think you can get longer versions. The only thing that bothers me about the motorised sliders is they’re very slow. Sometimes I want faster movement. I also have a video on the GVM slider which I’ve always enjoyed. Hope this helps 🎥
@bjorgdemeza2 жыл бұрын
@@SamHolland Thank you so much for always taking time to answer. It does help. I did some reach and the new micro 3 slide looks awesome (and pricy). I and however really debate to length is the best. AND I know there really is no right answer to that, because "it depends" ;) I am debating between the 59 and the 77. It is nice to have the opportunity to use the full length but I really like to be mobil with my gear and maybe 59cm is good enough for most shoots?
