Sharing with you the long awaited denim collection! I pretty much wear jeans every day, so I really enjoy finding new pairs of vintage levi's! This is just to show you how they fit on me for those of you who ask about what jeans I'm wearing!
Also! A lot of vintage levi's fit differently depending on when and where they were made! So just use this as a light reference! As you can tell, the sizing is always a little funky so it's best to use measurements when buying online! Etsy + Depop are some of my favorite places to find! Most of these cost between $2 and $50 max!

Franziska Dodl I actually always buy jeans that are one or two sizes bigger bc I personally prefer loose jeans, so what I do is add a belt to make sure it fits my waist! Hope that helps :)

I just recently got hired as a seasonal worker at levi’s and it’s taking so so much out of me to not buy all the jeans ._. Denim is my absolute favorite. And I think it’s cool you even wear pants that aren’t your size at all and still manage to make them work. 🤩 And from what I’ve learned the pants you’re wearing that are style 5... something those are all men’s pants so that’s super cool! I’m way too petit to ever fit into any of those ._.

Hi! I need advice on vintage levi's. I've seen a nice pair on asosmarketplace, which are meant to be -tight fitting. The 24 fits perfectly in my waist, but is 3 cm too small in my hips. The 25 though, as a bit too big in my waist (3 cm) and a tiiiiiiny but too big in my hips. What size would you recommend I get? What is msot confusing, they also show 'actual jeans measurements' and in those, the 24 would fit well and the 25 would be giant. I already send them a message, but they don't really answer very clear.

Hey Jenny, I’m revisiting this video for reference. I think we may be around the same size, so I was hoping you could DM me on Instagram or comment back here if you happen to see this (I realize this video is several weeks old). I find it hard to size vintage Levi’s because it’s the luck of the draw when I’m in say, Goodwill. I’ve never paid premium prices for preowned denim, I’d rather stumble across them organically... but MIGHT order a pair from Depop, but only if I knew my size to a T(!). I don’t, so that’s why I’m writing to ask for your assistance. I also am partial to Wrangler, Guess, and Bill Blass Denim!

Tbh skinny jeans aren’t good for you because they hug your nether regions too much, thus giving that area and your inner thighs not enough breathing space. For some it can even cause boils in the inside of the thighs where the fabric rubs at the skin and sweat formulates.

I've literally never found a levi's vintage jeans that fits me. you have any tips ?? i'm pretty tall and and dont have a lot of hip or ass. they are either good around my waist line, and super big down my legs, or they look good on my legs but don't go over my hips.. maybe i should try the oversized look you pull off.. but i'm afraid i'll look like a stick... ugh the hunt continues

When it comes to vintage jeans don’t be afraid to get them tailored if you really love them. Consider it an investment in the garment that’ll extend the life of the piece. I would size up and just take them in. Most clothes are for mannequins, not people and jeans especially are hard to get perfect. One day your denim dream will come true but in the meantime, fake it til you make it! Research quality tailors in your area. I am also kinda tall and have narrow hips, my legs are really long too so everything is always short. I usually wear a 24 but often times buy 27/28 from eBay (vintage is 2 sizes larger so a Vtg 27=modern 25) and that way I know they’ll be long and then I either belt them or if I want them to be fitted I take them to the tailor, works like a charm and they still look great. Hope this helps!

@@jasmingodoymusic there are a lot of small shops around the Netherlands, a sort of sewing ateliers where you can let your jeans be tailored. These are mostly run by foreign people that have a lot of experience in sewing. There must be one in your town too, and it's mostly not that expensive! Might help to look for 'kledingreparatie' in Google. hope this helps ! :)

Tailoring is your new best friend. I’m taking a pair of vintage lees and Levi’s in tomorrow. It’s a lot more expensive to get the waist taken in, so focus on that. But for length and taper, most vintage denim is wider in the hips and I’ve found the lengths to be longer too. The jeans I have are 36 inseam (who even has legs that long lol) and 34 inch for the Levi’s. They both have under 28 inch waist. Those are typically the sizes I find. Skinny and loooong. Also, look in the men’s jeans side of the thrift store. They ALWAYS have more vintage denim than the women’s. Good luck.
